Julian is a banker in the treasury area of HSBC and Kim is beginning a new career as a secondary school history teacher. The couple worked together at HSBC Bank on a number of projects and became friends before Julian plucked up the courage to ask Kim out for dinner a dinner date.
The couple both had memorable moments from their wedding day, for Kim it was walking down the aisle in the hands of her father watching her future husband waiting for her with tears in his eyes. It was a surreal moment.
The couple both love Las Vegas and always have so much fun when they visit. When they got engaged they knew without a doubt that they wanted to tie the knot in Las Vegas. Kim had done some research on some of the chapel alternatives (classier venues) and the Las Vegas Country Club was on her list of places to visit. When they toured the venue, they were blown away by
how cool it looked with the old style interior and how much it had to offer. The outdoor and balcony space just sealed the deal. Other venues/locations didn’t even compare, as their choice was simple.
Julian joined LVCC on facebook and they posted a video about a month before their wedding . The moment he saw the video he called us and arranged a consult .
Julian shared that Memory Lane, was discrete in filming and didn’t take over our day, but were always in the right place at the right time . All the guys were great to deal with, relaxed and had a good sense of humor ..our day was all about Fun and you guys played your part in it !!
Kim shared a similar sentiment, “to be honest it just felt so natural that Memory Lane Video was there that it was hard to remember that you were there! “
Julian: We had an amazing photographer in John Michael Cooper …and then we saw one of your videos at the last moment and we felt it would just offer something a little bit different and compliment what we already had …We both love going to the movies ..so why wouldn’t we want our own !!
Kim: At the end of the day, pictures tell a thousand words but a video takes it to a whole new level! A video brings an event to life. It is a reminder of how we actually felt , what we said and how we said it, it captures the nerves, excitement and building tension of the big moment and then the ecstasy and celebration afterwards. Hopefully the video will capture the fun of the day and all the different personalities who were able to share our special day with us. I will definitely frame some of the photos taken that day and place them around our home but the video I can share with those who were unable to make it to Vegas and with those who are yet to come… a photo just doesn’t compare in that sense.
The couple will be honeymooning in Vietnam , Hong Kong and China. The couple lives in beautiful Bermuda and wanted something a little different !
Kim has never been out to Asia and its on her list of places to visit. Julian is the natural born travel agent and loves exploring
all the options and best places to go. So he is arranging the whole thing… which is Kim’s reward for planning most of the wedding. Over the 3 weeks they are heading to Hanoi to relax in the old colonial city and visit the surrounding countryside, Hong Kong to be whipped into a frenzy by the city life and then Beijing to get culture/sightseeing overload in 3 days.

Ashley & Steve met met in Ocean City, MD through mutual friends. Ocean City is where Ashely grew and where Steve spent most of his summers. Ashley ended up getting a job where Steve grew up which is Ellicott City, MD and now the couple live together.
“The most memorable part of our day was our first dance which we took lessons for. Taking lessons was one of the better parts of planning the wedding because we did it completely together. I ended up losing my shoes in the middle of the dance but we pulled it off!“ Ashley shared.
When I asked Ashley to share with me what ultimately made her choose Cili at Bali Hai for the exquisite backdrop for her wedding venue, she shared the following,”There wasn’t anything about our venue that was subpar. The moment we walked into Cili I knew that was the spot. In fact, we planned a trip to pick our venue and had several appointments over the span of a few days. Cili was the first and LAST stop. We cancelled the rest of our appointments. The scenery, the convenience of location, the food, the drinks, and most importantly the staff is what makes Cili so great. Guests raved about the venue and the service.”
Ashley did a bit of research on-line through various wedding websites to find her Las Vegas wedding videographers, Memory Lane Video. “After my initially contact with them they always remained contact with me until I made my final decision. It took awhile to figure out if they would fit in our budget but looking back I realized it was well worth it! I watched several of the videos online that Memory Lane Video had previously done. “Bombshells & Wedding Bells” by Las Vegas Wedding Videographers – Memory Lane Video
Tucked away on the outskirts of Las Vegas, The Hangar proved to be the perfect venue for our USO Military themed Q1 event, Bombshells and Wedding Bells. The vintage inspired theme, offset by an ultra-modern juxtaposition of color, texture, lighting, and décor, set the mood for a nostalgic night reminiscent of simpler times.
The Hangar was beautiful and spacious and could not have been better suited for our theme. Besides the classic aircraft that sat stoically as a focal point, there was also a 120’ panorama timeline that profiled every significant front line aircraft since WWI, reminding everyone why we were there, celebrating our Military and all the opportunities available to us.
Our guests looked amazing in their vintage and military attire and really helped pull the theme together. With pinup style hair and makeup on the ladies, to the well-dressed men, the event succeeded in creating an atmosphere that transported you back in time. With great food, drinks, and energetic music, everyone had a fantastic time! The DJ’s kept the pace of the party upbeat and there was even a dance off with prizes given away. It was really fun to watch and got the crowd involved.
The highlight of the evening was that the first 25 registered guests had the opportunity to go on a flight provided by Sky Combat Ace. The starry, February night was the perfect backdrop for a sightseeing tour of our fabulous city, at a vantage point that few can imagine.
All of our sponsors worked together in creating an incredible and memorable evening that exceeded all of our expectations. This event is going to be a hard one to top, but we are up for the challenge! We cannot thank everyone enough for their support and look forward to working together in the future.
Since we were having our Q1 Event at The Hangar we thought it was fitting to do some type of aviation theme, but wanted to keep everyone’s options open incase they had costumes already! So we decided to go with USO Military theme 1940’s theme and we incorporated pin up for those of us who LOVE ANYTHING PIN UP!!!.. We just wanted to do something fun and interactive.. The dance contest was a hit and had everyone participating even if it was just to cheer on the dancers… HARRY O Doing the splits was the highlight of the night!! PRICELESS… As we went well over an hour past ending time.. it is always so nice to hear The thank you’ s, and the we had such a great time, thank you for having us.. I love seeing everyone have so much fun! Love seeing old familiar faces and all the new wedding bees to introduce them to all the fabulous wedding professionals we work with on a daily basis. We throw Great parties to bring Great people together!

Brian is the Executive Chef of Comme Ca Las Vegas inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Wendy is an Event Sales Manager for the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
They met at work in 2002, when they both worked at Tsunami Asian Grill inside the Venetian. Brian was a sous chef and Wendy was a restaurant manager. The restaurant is no longer there and has since been replaced by Barney’s New York.
The memorable moments for the couple were for Brian – seeing Wendy for the first time as she walked down the aisle. “The anticipation of seeing her and when I finally saw her in her wedding dress for the first time it was amazing.“
And for Wendy – giving Brian a high five when we finally got married, it was so fitting of their personalities. And their first dance…the song was Ne-Yo, Never knew I needed.
The couple tied their nuptials at The Smith Center, Las Vegas. It felt right when we walked in. It was not a church nor a casino. The venue was stunning and it was unique.
When we asked the couple how they heard about Memory Lane Video, the pair of them shared this: “Ummmm who hasn’t heard about Memory Lane…lol. The March 10th bridal show at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa exceeded all of our expectations. Red Rock Resort is recognized as one of the best destinations for meetings, conferences, and events… and they did not disappoint!
The location was convenient and the views of the Red Rock Mountains set the backdrop for an exquisite day. The vendor room and the fashion show room were spacious, beautiful, and perfectly suited for our event. We wanted a clean, modern, look, and opted for an open set up that wasn’t bogged down by countless rows of pipe and draping. The result was amazing! We couldn’t have been happier with the layout and overall aesthetic of the vendor room. And Brides agreed! We got wonderful feedback from some of the 300 brides in attendance.
The fashion show was held in a separate room, which allowed for ample space to create an atmosphere that was ideal for a high-end fashion show. The gowns and tuxedos were stunning, and the skit performed to Dusty Springfield’s hit song “Wishin’ and Hopin’” was just delightful!
Perfect Wedding Guide is thrilled with the turnout of our first event in Las Vegas and would like to thank all of the vendors and sponsors for your incredible support. We look forward to bringing brides and vendors together at future shows in Las Vegas.
