Emerald at QueensRidge – Cat + Andrew – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Cat is a teacher.  Andrew is an electrician. They met online and after weeks of endless emails and texts, 1578 to be exact, they decided to meet in person on May 19th 2012.

“Andrew picked me up, such a gentlemen, I ran down stairs, opened the door, turned my head, and saw a guy in a bright green shirt walking toward me adjusting his sunglasses. Andrew drove to the 51’s game. I assumed we were going to buy tickets at the game, but then he said he had previously purchased tickets under the misters because of the sweltering Vegas heat. I gave him points for that one, he is so thoughtful. After the game, we headed downtown to Fremont St.  We walked around El Dorado Days, a yearly carnival, with beer cans covered by trash bags.  I had him hooked right there, a girl who loves baseball and drinks beer! It didn’t take long though for him to discover I am actually a martini girl,” Cat recalled.

Cat and Andrew’s Engagement Story

“Andrew decided to take me to Circus-Circus for our one-year anniversary.  We went to Buffalo Photo where you dress up like 1920s gangsters and take cute pics.  We were separated into different rooms.  I put on a flapper dress and some feathery accessories.  Andrew got into a three-piece suit. Actually, his suit only looked like three pieces but the shirt, vest, tie, and jacket were all one – important point I will refer back to 🙂 The photographer took a few solo shots of Andrew first. I noticed how nervous he seemed but figured it was because we had an audience and he was in the spotlight.  Then I had some solo shots and finally a few together,” said Cat.

Andrew was standing behind me ready for the picture, he leaned in and whispered, “I was going to ask you to marry me right now but I can’t reach the ring.” I replied, “What did you just say?” Andrew repeated himself.  I slightly turned and asked if he was serious.  He replied, “Turn around and take the picture”.  I stepped backward and made eye contact. He opened up his fake suit and I went into his real shirt pocket and pulled out a ring.  Andrew put it on my finger, I said yes and I began shaking with excitement. Esmeralda grabbed my arm and said, “Hold it together, I have to take more pictures!”

“The most memorable moment of our wedding was when we were walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time in the church,” said the couple.

“Our 3 favorite details from our wedding were, 1, Addy talking to Cat non-stop from the Red Rock Hotel to the church. 2, Lilly organizing a spinning in flower girl dresses count-down. 3, Daddy walking out of the groom’s bathroom when we thought we were finally alone,” Cat and Andrew recalled.

Our advise to a couple planning there wedding is to make sure you eat before the fun begins, cause once they do you will be way to busy to do anything but take pictures. Also keep a list of all the pictures you want and have the photographer keep in his pocket,” said the couple.

“The key factor that helped us choose our venue, Emerald at QueensRidge was their all-inclusive package,” Cat and Andrew said.

“Apart from Memory Lane Video, the other venders we were happy with were our wedding Photographer, Imagine Studios and our cake decorator, Rollin in the Dough Bakery,” recalled the couple.

Memory Lane Video is unique. We looked at other companies but none had the artistic qualities. On the day of our wedding we didn’t even notice them,” explained Cat and Andrew.

“For our honeymoon, we took our brand new 5th wheel camper to northern Nevada and California.  We drove all over both states and enjoyed peace and nature. We celebrated the two of us becoming a family,” said Cat and Andrew.
