Paiute – Dana + Matt – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Matt is a Corrections Officer at the City jail and Dana is an Analyst at Southwest Gas Corporation in their State Regulatory Affairs department.

They met at Revolver Saloon. Dana was feeling bummed because no one had asked her to dance (and she LOVES to dance) so her best friend, Kendall (who was her Matron of Honor) walked up to Matt and told him to dance with her or she will be sad the rest of the night. While dancing, Matt said he was trying to get the courage to ask Dana to dance with him. The rest is history.Their first date was to a Billy Currington concert. It was fun, and not a typical first date. They talked all night.

“The most memorable thing for me from our wedding was my father’s expression when he saw me for the first time. He just said “wow” and hugged me so tight. Simple but to the point kind of man Matthew said his most memorable thing about the wedding day was when he saw me for the first time. He said that it was a breath taking moment. We both loved everything about our wedding, it was really beautiful,” Dana recalled.

“Our three most favorite details of our wedding were 1.) The lighting, all of it! The bistro lighting made the ENTIRE setting. The heart marquee and love sign were perfect for pictures. Kevin from LED Unplugged did a fantastic job. We really can’t say it enough. 2.) The popcorn! It was gone in a blink of an eye! The guest really loved it. 3.) The food! It was amazing! We received non-stop compliments on how amazing the food was. We think the food is something people always remember about your wedding,” explained the couple.

“Our advice for future couples is, and we are sure it is said over and over, but we truly can’t stress it enough; the day is over before you know it! Over a year of planning and it is done in a blink of an eye. We took the time to walk to every table during dinner to thank our guests, give hugs, kisses and pictures. Some guests came from other states, in our case, they came all the way from the east coast. This day is so busy and everyone wants to talk to you and get pictures with you. Please make sure to show your guest your appreciation for them coming to your wedding.Giving all our guest 5 minutes of our time made such a difference to them, you could tell,” Dana and Matt said.

“The reason we chose the Paiute were for a few reasons. 1.) The girls were so nice from day one. They were honest and up front about ALL costs. There was not one single hidden fee. 2.) We read reviews that the food was outstanding and, like from my statement above, food and music had to be spot on for me. And last 3.) The view. It truly was breath taking and we have one of a kind photographs. Most golf courses have houses in the background, but the Paiute has natural beautiful mountains,” explained the couple.

“We loved every single one of our vendors. Truly. Jill Jennings from Highland Photography (who also did our engagement shoot) is probably the nicest most patient person we have ever met, and trust me, you want a patient person on your wedding day! Katherine from Layers of Lovely exceeded all expectations we had. Our flowers were so lovely. She is such an amazing talent. Popcorn girl, again from my statement above, she is great and her popcorn was a huge hit not a single piece was left over. Joy Squad photo booth was a blast. Photo booths are the new thing and are so important to have nowadays to give your guest a fun experience. We loved Joy Squad’s set up because it wasn’t in a tiny little booth. It was against a backdrop and more open, this made it easier for our family to squish in. Of course, Kevin from LED Lighting, he was there so early to set up the bistro lights and came late to take them down. He worked so hard to meet the vision of the wedding we had in mind. Retro bakery, wow! Most our family doesn’t care for cake, but they had seconds! Now if that doesn’t say something, I don’t know what does. Our cake was so beautiful and simple and just yummy! We also used Nostalgia Resources for our furniture rental. We rented a lot of little detail pieces to have something that would fill the main entry. She was amazing. She took a bunch of pictures to help us set everything up, it was lovely. Renting an old vintage dresser for our cake table made the world of a difference. And of course, last but not least, Memory Lane Video. There is nothing but amazing things to say about this group of people. Your wedding video is what you have for the rest of your life to look back on and relive a day that was over before you knew it.Why wouldn’t you pick the best company in town to capture the missed memories for you,” Dana and Matt said.

“We found out about Memory LaneVideo by the company’s amazing reviews on weddingwire.com,” recalled the couple.

“We have to be truly honest, our wedding wasn’t really stressful for us because we were lucky enough that my mom took the reins, literally. So finding someone to help you with all your DIYs, scheduling meetings with your vendors, etc. we think can help make this experience more enjoyable for everyone. You would be surprised how much family and friend want to help with your wedding! What we believe to be important are 1.) Wedding Video 2.) Pictures 3.) Food and Music. Trust me, no one is going to remember the table cloth colors or what your invites look like. They will remember if the food was good and if the music kept them up on their feet!” Dana and Matt explained.

“For future couples planning their wedding, video and pictures is what you will cherish forever, please make this a big important portion of your budget. What we learned from this experience is really to just try and keep it simple, and that goes beyond just the wedding. Don’t put yourself in debt over this day. Come out of your wedding happy and ready to embrace your new adventure together. Most people are engaged for a year before they say their I Do’s. You’d be surprised how much money you can tuck away in that time frame. It takes sacrifice, but it makes the outcome so much more enjoyable. Pick vendors with good reviews and reputations. You, mainly the bride, will feel frantic this day. It is so important to pick vendors that you know will because there. One less thing to have to think about on this day. We highly recommend everyone vendor we used,” said the couple.

We booked Memory Lane Video because Ricky was so amazing. He made us feel so comfortable and at ease. These are really important things to considering when picking all vendors. We knew they were the best company for us on our first meeting. On the day of our wedding, we admired that we had no idea that they were there. It doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it really is. They we punctual and showed up on time and we had a small one on one and then the night began! Such an amazing group!” Dana and Matt recalled.

“We think a wedding video is on the list of the must haves. Wedding dress, pictures and video. Everyone will tell you that it is over so fast, and it is! The first thing my husband said to me after our wedding was, “it went so fast, and I don’t really remember it”. That is a true statement. A video will capture the friends and family that were there, the first kiss, your grandmother dancing with the flower girls. It’s these moments and memories that are something you will want to look back on. We think Memory Lane  Video should be a preferred vendor by everyone, because if you look at all their work, every video will make you cry, every single one! They put so much personal touch into their work and are so creative. They are going to give you a product that exceeds your expectations,” explained the couple.

“We did a small stay-cation for our honeymoon. Matthew’s father got us an amazing suite, something you would see on the Real World. We haven’t talked about taking a honeymoon else where. We are putting a lot of focus and planning travel time with my horses, so maybe we will count those as our honeymoon,” said Dana.
