Chad is a loan assistant for VanDyke mortgage and April is a school psychologist for the Clark County School District.

April and Chad first met on a dating website, Match.com.  We do not remember who reached out to who first, but glad they did. Chad and April spoke through email and then on the phone for two weeks before meeting in person. For their first date, Chad and April decided to meet at a restaurant called Ventano’s here in Las Vegas. Their first date was postponed due to Chad’s family priest, coming into town. He kindly asked to reschedule for the next night. April of course said okay and was very anxious to meet him the next night. As promised, they met at Ventano’s on that following day. Chad welcomed April with his beautiful smile and kind words.  They had a few cocktails and talked for a few hours and April kept thinking that this was the best date she ever been on and did not want it to end. They’ve been inseparable from that point on and have never been apart from that day forward.

“The most memorable memory from our wedding day that we can remember is the overwhelming amount of our friends and family that came long distances to be a part of our special day and being able to spend time with each and every person individually at our wedding. One moment from our wedding, that we cannot stop thinking about was our first look before our wedding. The moment we saw each other took our breath away. It was an unforgettable and intimate moment between the two of us that we will always cherish. We felt so blessed that God has been the author of our love story and he has faithfully seen us through any struggles we’ve faced along the way”, April and Chad recalled.

“Our three favorite details from the wedding were: 1, Stephanie, our coordinator from Revere Golf Club. She was incredible, accommodating, and friendly and helped with all the planning that came together so we were able to enjoy the entire night. 2, The Revere Golf Club for the outstanding service! They went above and beyond our expectations. Their staff was professional and kind and made us feel very special on our wedding day. (They even had the organization of our sparklers exit so we would not burn down the place). 3. Tony from Pure Energy Productions, was the most amazing MC and DJ you could ever imagine that made our night so enjoyable. His selection of music made the energy rise. He also gave us a copy of a CD with all the songs that he played at our wedding”, said the couple.

“If we could offer one piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding it would be to not to forget what this day is all about. This day is for the both of you and do what makes you both happy. Whatever you both choose is the right one. Don’t forget to take a moment to sit down and take it all in”, April and Chad explained.

“The key factors that helped us choose our wedding reception was location, accommodations, view and service. Since, we are both not from Las Vegas and had a large out of town guest list, it was important to choose a venue with a view of the strip that was close to our Parish. It was also important to have a venue that was very accommodating and intimate. As soon as we walked into the Revere, we feel in love and knew this is where we wanted to be. We ultimately chose the Revere because the scenic view was breathtaking, the service was top notch and the food was superb”, recalled the couple.

“Other vendors we were happy we chose to be a part of our special day were Ron MillerPhotographyRevere Golf ClubAmelia C and CompanyCravin CakesPure EnergyProductionsGreen Valley RanchShutter Booth, Exclusive VIP Transportation and Floral MD. These wonderful people made our wedding day a dream come true”, said April.

“I found out about Memory Lane Video from my first convention we attended for our own wedding. Ricky was the first person we approached. His warm smile and friendly personality drew us in. He showed us a preview of other weddings and we were astounded, left us speechless and even made us tear up. I knew that day I wanted them for my videography and was the one thing I would splurge on that in return would be the most memorable.  Best decision ever made”, April recalled.

“Now that the wedding has commenced, we have learned that marriage is a beautiful thing and all the organization and joy we took in planning was worth everything. We took our time planning and seeing everything come together the way it did was something we could have only dreamed about. We can honestly say that that we loved every minute of our wedding and if we had to do it all over again we would do it the exactly the same way! The things we thought were most important for our wedding is reflecting on what that day it is all about and our memories. We never lost sight on what this was all about in the end…forever. We also knew that our photos and video would capture all our memories that will forever be dear to us and can look back on years to come. What we thought was not worth the stress was the guest list. Whether you offend someone or not, your day is about the two of you. You will not be able to please and accommodate everyone”, explained the couple.

“Some advice that we can provide to future couples in planning their wedding is to enjoy your planning step by step and take each moment you meet with vendors, sample cakes, etc and appreciate it. Do not get caught up in all the fluff. It goes by very fast and enjoy all the steps that lead up to the special day. Don’t forget to smile and appreciate what you have in front of you. Pick what is most important and not and BE ORGANIZED! Don’t be stressed. This process should be the most excited part of both of your lives and should NOT stress you out. Be considerate and respectful of one another, communicate with each other and compromise. You will be surprised how well this truly works”, April and Chad said.

“We choose to book Memory Lane Video to film our video because of their professionalism, quality and originality when it came to capturing all the details that we wanted for our wedding. After watching previews of others weddings, I remember sitting there saying I couldn’t wait to see our wedding video. Ricky and John made us feel important and not a random couple”, said April.

“When considering other wedding videos, we never considered any others. When we met with Ricky, John and his staff before our wedding, we knew this is exactly what we wanted and had complete trust in his staff to making that happen. They were more than our vendor, but lifetime friends. After viewing videos and saw the talent and quality, we knew that this was the only company we absolutely needed to consider”, April recalled.

“On the day of the event, we most admired how Memory Lane was professional and organized. They had a detailed layout of our wedding before arriving. They were punctual and knew exactly what to do. They kept us informed of each event that they needed to capture and never took us away from enjoying our day. John also completed a picture montage that we watched at our reception. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room. John made our pictures come to life and tell our story that was like no other”, explained the couple.

“Videography was on the top of our list and not only do we think it’s important, but Memory Lane Video is a must for creating your wedding day with the top quality and skills that this staff has.  They are very personable and will keep you calm. Your video will tell a story. You’re not just seeing your video but relieving it over and over”, April and Chad said.

“For our honeymoon, we traveled to Maui, Hawaii. We chose Maui because neither of us had been there and wanted to go to a romantic yet tropical place where we can relax and enjoy being husband and wife”, explained the couple.
