Texas Station – Yadira + Mike – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers
Mike is a Sales Manager for a Mortgage Company here in Vegas and Yadira is a stay at home mom with their 4 kids.
“We both met at a nightclub here in Vegas at the Bellagio. I lived in San Diego and Yadira lived here in Vegas. We talked on the phone a lot and had long conversations all the time. After almost 9 months of long distance dating I decided to move to Vegas and have been here ever since. We really didn’t have a first date but it was more of going out with friends a lot in the beginning,” Mike recalled.
“The most memorable thing we can remember from our wedding day would be having all of our closest friends and family in one place all to celebrate the most special day of our lives. Having people fly from all over the county and even Mexico to see us and spend this special day with us was very emotional for us,” said the couple.
“Our 3 favorite details from our wedding was 1, Ana our photographer was truly amazing. She took so many pictures and was so patient and creative with all her shots. She was the best we could have chosen. 2, Rosa our wedding decorator was great. She made our ballroom at Texas Station look so elegant and beautiful. We were blown away with what she did for us and her creative ideas to make the room so nice and everyone loved it! And 3, our wedding favors done by Yadira’s old dentist that turned out so nice. They had our names on them and looked very elegant and classy. The colors even matched the wedding colors too. That was very special to us,” recalled Yadira and Mike.
“Our advice to other couples planning their wedding would be make sure the girls from the wedding party bring a change of shoes because those high heels will kill them after a while. Also bring an emergency kit for ripped clothes, make up, band aids and krazy glue, etc. It will be a lifesaver,” said the couple.
“The key factors that helped us choose our venue at Texas Station were the accommodations for all our guests. They had very great rates for the hotel rooms and a full service casino that gave all of our patrons plenty to do for the weekend. Also they had a great and spacious ballroom that we really loved and was able to get a good rate to secure it for our decorator Rosa,” Yadira and Mike explained.
“We found out about Memory Lane Video through Scheme Events’ emails that Yadira signed up for at a bridal expo,” said Mike.
“Looking back on our wedding day, we learned that no matter how much planning you do the day won’t be perfect. Take the time to enjoy the day and remember the reason why you’re there, and that is to celebrate the love of your life and soul mate. The most important thing was saying our vows in front of God and our closest family and friends. That was very important to us and to share that with them was truly special to us. Looking back I would say not to sweat the small things. The day will be a great day no matter what. Just make sure you both are happy because you’re never going to please everyone and to stress over it is a waste,” explained the couple.
“Our advice to future couples is plan far ahead and enjoy the planning. Don’t fight over dumb stuff but think about the important things for that day. Like seeing her in her wedding dress, first dances, and speeches and enjoying time with family that you haven’t seen in a long time. Those are things that you need to remember and should be the reason for planning this huge event so take your time while doing it,” said Yadira and Mike.
“What made us ultimately go with Memory Lane Video was the finished product that is put together at the end. The details and editing that is done by them is like a reality show produced on TV but we are far from celebrities! We knew our day would go by fast and pictures are great memories but to have a video of our day with all the commentary and music is the best way to always remember our special day. They always seemed to be in the front filming the most important parts and details of that day. They were great with our family and wedding party regarding the interviews and asked the right questions. Everyone loved them and are excited to see the final video,” the couple explained.
“Our advice to future couples is to prioritize their videography over most things. Pictures are also important but those are just moments on a page. Video is reacting and reliving your special day. We always talked about not forgetting that day and being able to relive it whenever we wanted. With Memory Lane Video, we knew in 5 or 10 years we could pop in our wedding DVD and hear everyone’s comments, emotions and feel the music that made our day so special. To hear us recite our vows to each other is always going to be an emotional event and a picture can’t say that like a video can. For us, it was a necessity to have a video for our memories,” said Yadira and Mike.
“We will not be honeymooning as we have our special stay-cations here in Las Vegas and travel with our beautiful kids to California so much it’s like we have mini honeymoons every other month,” the couple said.
