Cody is a supervisor in the business center of a major hotel and casino on The Strip and Amy is a cosmetologist. They met at their friend Adrian’s house at a Christmas party in 2007.
Cody and Amy entered the “Most Cutest Couple Contest“. Cody was at work when Amy called and told him about the contest. He was very hesitant at first and didn’t expect they would have a chance. When he found out they had won, it was very exciting and he couldn’t believe it. They prayed every day for it and it was an amazing feeling.
“My favorite moment was when I saw Amy in her dress for the first time. She was so beautiful. I kept thinking that I am the luckiest man in the world,” Cody recalls.
“My 3 favorite details from the wedding were, dancing at the reception, the sand ceremony and when Amy threw cake in my face,” said Cody.
“To couples planning their wedding, a piece of advice we could give would be to stay calm and don’t worry about what other people want or recommend. Its your wedding and you call the shots. Make all the decisions yourself, relax and have a good time with it all,” said the couple.
The couple won the venue through the contest.
“The Westin at Lake Las Vegas had very high recommendations for Memory Lane Video. On the day of our wedding, the Memory Lane staff was great. They made us feel relaxed and we didn’t have to worry about anything,” Amy and Cody recalled.
“Now that the wedding has commenced, we have learned that the stress is not worth it. Being stressed and worrying about things for months all for one day isn’t worth it. If we could do it again, we would not let the small things bother us,” said the couple.
Amy and Cody have yet to plan their honeymoon.
