Ashley and Mike are both Respiratory Therapists at Complex Care Hospital at Tenaya and Ashley’s also a full time RT at Spring Valley Hospital. They first met at work and quickly became close friends. Their first date was a day trip to the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. They both love travelling so taking a trip on their first date was perfect.
“The most memorable thing for me about our wedding day was watching Ashley walk down the aisle; I remember how beautiful she looked in her dress. I hope that I never forget that image,” Mike recalled.
“My most memorable moment for me was when I felt all the emotions when we said our vows. I can’t explain it but I felt more in tune with him than I have ever before. It was amazing,” said Ashley.
“Our favorite details from our wedding were 1, Tracy, our event coordinator and Francesca, her assistant from Scheme Events. They were there and readily available the whole entire day! We know that the wedding would never have been as successful without these girls taking control of everything! 2, Pastor Ed Bruning gave a phenomenal ceremony that had our guests commenting about it throughout the reception. He was sweet, sentimental and had just the right amount of humor. And 3, Our DJ, Mike Fox was amazing. He kept our guests entertained, dancing and fully involved throughout the whole reception. We were so impressed with his service and couldn’t have asked for a better DJ,” explained the couple.
“One piece of advice to couples planning their wedding, is to start planning early and set your budget from the very beginning and definitely invest in a wedding coordinator to take on the task and give you the wedding of dreams, with less stress,” Ashley and Mike said.
“The key factors in helping us choose our wedding venue Platinum Hotel was the location and the exceptional view of the Las Vegas Strip, explained the couple.
“We were so happy that we included Elizabeth Le Photography to capture our special day. She was an amazing, talented photographer and so sweet and easy to work with. We were also so excited about having The Girl Who Drew You doing Caricatures throughout the reception. We are caricature enthusiasts and always try and get one whenever possible from different places and vacations. They were even included in on our wedding invites! It was definitely the highlight of the reception and they came out great! There was a huge line to get one done and everybody was so excited to have something so personal to take home with them,” said Ashley and Mike.
“We found Memory Lane Video online and were blown away by their work. When Tracy asked about videography, Memory Lane Video was the only one that we were interested in and it was an easy decision for us to make. We loved the quality of their videos and how they were personalized for each couple. We didn’t consider any other company because Memory Lane Video was the only one we knew from the start we wanted to film our wedding from the start. “Now that the wedding has commenced, we learned that in the scheme of things there were certain details that weren’t worth stressing over. Like the decision to bring in rented chavari chairs and specific seating arrangements. The chairs looked great and everybody had fun regardless,” said Ashley and Mike.
“Videography is so important because the whole wedding day goes by so fast and now we have a video to watch all the things we wouldn’t have even remembered. We have heard so many times from couples that the biggest regret they have is not having video. Now we don’t have to be one of those couples! “We honeymooned at the Renaissance St. Croix Carambola Resort in St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands because we both enjoy the Caribbean and it’s warm, blue turquoise water. The resort was beautiful, secluded and relaxing and just what we needed after a busy wedding planning year,” said Ashley and Mike.
