McKenzie moved to Nantucket Island in 2015, it didn’t take me long to realize I couldn’t live with her. I never thought anyone would inspire the kind of confidence in me that it takes to ask someone to be your partner for the rest of your life. So, I flew to Nantucket Island with two dozen roses and an heirloom ring. When we got back to the bed and breakfast where I was staying, we got to talking and I knew the time was right, and I proposed.
Fortunately, the gamut of exotic matrimonial ceremonies was available to us. It was simply a matter of finding one that felt right. The natural surrounds, the seclusion, the views; played the major part in the choice of venue. McKenzie was ecstatic that hiking boots were better suited for the occasion than high heels. The whole venue was a terrific value. I acknowledge this is due largely to the convenience of Vegas weddings, but I am nonetheless impressed at the full suite of services offered by our selected vendor. They provided the wedding cake, bouquet, boutonniere, champagne, limo and helicopter ride, and minister.
The Wynn Resort played a pivotal role in the occasion. We stay at the Wynn every year we go to Vegas – it has a special place in our heart. A city within a hotel and the skill of their cosmetologists created quite a memorable aesthetic we can appreciate for years. I’d like to thank the folks at KemoSabe for my hat and the remarkable hot-iron branding. My gratitude to Utilikilts for the well-crafted kilt and I would also like to recognize the geniuses at Raleigh Limited, it’s been a pleasure to be their most kilted client.
I put the utmost confidence in my lovely bride. She knew it was Memory Lane was the right company from her extensive considerations; she was persuaded by the highly positive reviews, and the willingness of Memory Lane Video to work on such a short notice! John, our videographer, was personable and I felt like he was more than just a set piece. It was most definitely worth every penny.
