Ross is an attorney and works for an oil company. Allison is an account executive at an advertising agency. They went to high school together and dated when Allison was still in high school and Ross went off to college. The high school/ college relationship didn’t last, but they remained friends. Their best friends were married to each other and that kept them in the same circle of friends. 10 years later, Allison’s brother saw Ross at a party in Houston and him she was single and that he should call her. Ross called and they started dating right away. Allison was living in Dallas at the time and they had a long distance relationship for about 11 months until Ross proposed and Allison moved home to Houston to start their life together.
“The ceremony was my favorite part of our wedding day. Even though we were surrounded by our loved ones, it felt like it was just us up there. I loved saying my vows to Ross and him repeating them to me,” Allison recalled.
“We chose Vegas because we both love the city and we wanted our wedding to be a huge celebration where people could cut loose and have a blast all weekend. The Four Seasons was a perfect fit because it’s a non-casino resort. We got the best of both worlds with a traditional wedding and all the traditional Vegas attractions at the same time,” the couple said.
“Our wedding planner sourced many options, but Memory Lane Video was our choice based on their customer service responsiveness and great quality of work,” said Allison.
“Now that the wedding has commenced, I have learned this was the one time when it was acceptable to be selfish and not worry about anything except for myself and my groom. Things that were not worth the stress: worrying about my guests. I wanted everyone to have a good time, be well fed, comfortable and relaxed. They came to our wedding for US and they had a good time regardless,” Allison recalled.
“To future couples on planning their wedding, wedding planners are a girl’s best friend! Do what you want and don’t worry about anyone else but your groom,” said Allison.
“We wanted Memory Lane Video for our special day; we viewed their blog and saw the wonderful work and quality that their team creates. On the day, the crew was very friendly and easy to work with. There were 3 of them and after they arrived and said hello, I never saw them again, it was amazing! I knew they were there capturing every detail but it was great how they were able to film and not be a distraction to us or any guest,” the couple recalled.
“Video can capture all of the small details that photos just can’t. You can see the expressions and movements and hear the tone of voices. My friends have told me to watch their wedding videos every year on their anniversary and that’s a tradition I want to adopt as well,” said Allison.
Allison and Ross are going on their honeymoon in 2014, they’re not sure where yet; but somewhere with tropical drinks and a beautiful beach.
