Ioanna is a clerk at United Healthcare Group and is currently also pursuing her music career. Gianni is a North Las Vegas police officer. They met at Ioanna’s last job as a bartender in 2010 through a mutual friend.
“The most memorable moment for me was when it was time for the two of us to see each other and the moment Ioanna walked down the aisle,” said Gianni.
“For me, it was the moment when Gianni hugged and kissed my mother and shook my father’s hand as they gave me away. Everything felt like it was moving in slow motion. It was as if only Gianni and I were there and everything else was standing still,” Ioanna said.
“The details from our wedding that were our favorite and we were excited about were, 1, the helicopter flying above us and taking footage of our ceremony. It was absolutely incredible. 2, the details we added to the side of our wedding our cake, which was Gianni’s North Las Vegas badge and Ioanna’s microphone and 3 the speeches and how detailed our brothers and sister would get,” said the couple.
“To couples planning their wedding, our advice would be to allow enough time to plan because there is no rush. The more time you have to plan, the better off you will be. This way, you can really research every option you have and feel good about your choices for your wedding day. Another piece of advice would be to really step back on your wedding day and enjoy it because it goes by so fast. Relax, take a breath and enjoy every moment of that beautiful day,” said Ioanna and Gianni.
“We chose The Lake Club at Lake Las Vegas because that was where we had our first romantic getaway as a couple. It was a magical bonding weekend for us and we had an absolutely incredible connection and when we got engaged we automatically both knew that we needed to find a place in Lake Las Vegas. The venue just gave you a sense of peace and romance. We feel it defined us!” recalled the couple.
“We found out about Memory Lane Video through our friends Ryan and Tara Johnson. They used Memory Lane Video and said amazing things about their work. We borrowed their wedding DVD, instantly fell in love and watched it about 6 or 7 times. They captured everything important in the ceremony and it was so creative and well put together. We are so happy we found Memory Lane Video, their work is magical,” said Ioanna and Gianni.
“Now that the wedding has commenced, we have learned that you have to enjoy every moment of life and these special moments because they are once in a lifetime and they are so precious and go by so quickly. We learned just how important having your family around is. Their love and support through all this was priceless and unbelievable. The most important thing is to have FUN. As the bride and groom, this was our day and we made sure to always step back and take a breath and enjoy this beautiful day together. Looking back now, the guest list is something is wouldn’t stress about. Some will show up and some won’t. At the end of the day the ones who are most important will be there. There will be cancellations but it’s out of your hands and you can’t do anything about it but a reserved list if you can,” recalled the couple.
“The biggest advice we can give future couples, is to take your time so you can really see everything that’s out there. To us, video and photos were the most important because it will be there forever and it will get passed down to our children. It’s the biggest memory you have after it’s over. That’s where we decided to spend most of our money on, video and photography,” explained Ioanna and Gianni.
“We ultimately wanted to book with Memory Lane Video after we met with the guys. They were just amazing and very serious about what they do. They had so many demos and packages available and so full of information it was hard no to fall for them immediately. Their videos blew us away. The details, the music, and most importantly, they cared about the couples they were filming, and to us, that’s a quality that’s very hard to find. On the day of our wedding, we most admired the crew. Everyone was wonderful, caring and friendly. They made us feel very comfortable and happy. We felt like they were part of the family. We admired how hard working everyone was and how serious they were about providing us with the best quality. We loved the helicopter so much that we stopped listening to the officiant for a moment,” said the couple.

The couple went to White Castle, Jamaica for their honeymoon. They went through Sandals Resorts and it was incredible. Jamaica is something Gianni and Ionna felt would be a great experience together.
