“The most memorable moment for Darren from our wedding, that he continues to think about, was the garter dance that I did for him with my bridesmaids. I wanted to do something fun and let him know that he makes me feel like the only girl in the world. The most memorable moment for me was when Darren gave his toast. Listening to him speak made me so proud to be his wife. He has this amazing ability to make everyone feel so special and he just brought everyone together and made everyone feel the immense love that we have for each other. I had people coming up to me that worked at our venue, crying and telling me how his words touched them,” recalled Kirsis.
“The 3 details that were Kirsis’ favorite centered on the romantic ambience that we wanted, the lighting, colors and warmth. For me, my favorite details were Kirsis’ dress, our table that sat underneath a beautiful arch and the custom M&M favors that my sister made for our wedding,” said Darren.
“If we could offer one piece of advice to couples planning their wedding, it would to have the wedding that YOU want to have. Don’t worry about trying to impress others,” said Kirsis and Darren.
“The key factors that helped us choose our wedding venue (JW Marriott Resort & Spa) was that we wanted guaranteed great weather and a place that our guests could have fun apart from our wedding,” recalled the couple.
“Kirsis found out about Memory Lane Video by doing a search for videography services in Las Vegas. I’m pretty sure they were one of the first results that came up,” said Darren.
“We booked with Memory Lane Video because their work is the best. When we watched their videos, we knew instantly that we wanted our memories captured in the same artistic way. On the day of our wedding, we really appreciated how the videographers were able to capture everything and we barely even noticed that they were there. They were just awesome and it was such a pleasure” recalled the couple.
“We had no stress when it came to planning our wedding. Everything we planned for was executed and outlined perfectly. If anything is most important, it is to communicate with your vendors on a regular basis. Ask any all questions you may have,” said Kirsis.
“We understand that everyone is working with a different budget but when it came to our photos and video, those were the most important to us. We were willing to spend good money on getting these things because when the memories fade, we will still have our photos and video. We are sure there are many things that we missed from the wedding and the video will allow us to see that perspective and also relive the great moments from our wedding,” explained Kirsis and Darren.
“We made the huge mistake of waiting to have our honeymoon 3 months after our wedding. We became pregnant a month after our wedding and will now be taking a baby-moon instead of a honeymoon. We like to say that our honeymoon was spent in our bedroom,” said Kirsis.
