Adrian and Denise are both registered nurses at Southern Hills Hospital. Denise is a nurse on Labor & Delivery and Adrian is a charge nurse on Ortho Neuro. They first met each other at UNLV playing intramural soccer their sophomore year of college. Denise needed guys to play on her co-ed team and had a sorority sister that knew some guys through her church. After hitting it off the first season they kept in contact and would continue to call each other at beginning of each new season. Their mutual love for soccer brought them together and eventually they ended up dating.

The most memorable moment of our wedding is when we got to say our vows both in Spanish and English. We had the honor of being married by Denise’s great uncle who just so happened to be the man who married Denise’s parents. Being able to say our vows in both languages played a very significant role for us culturally, helping us link where we came from with where we are going,” explained Adrian.

Our 3 favorite details from our wedding were: 1) All of the flowers at the wedding and reception, from the bouquets all the way to the centerpieces. The orchid & hydrangea combination set the elegant tone we had wished for. 2) The photo booth was our second favorite detail from the wedding. The smiles and laughter it brought to the guests transcended from the booth out onto the dance floor. 3) Our bridal party photo shoot prior to the reception was our third favorite detail. Emily Ku did a great job at bringing out our fun and goofy selves with our poses. We just had so much fun with our bridal party, the laughs and memories from that moment will last with us forever,” said Denise and Adrian.

If we could offer one piece of advice to other couples planning their wedding it would be to get a wedding coordinator for the day of. You get to enjoy your wedding without worrying about if anything goes wrong. Faith Chapin, our coordinator from Faithfully Yours, did just that for us and we are so grateful,” said the couple.

The key factors that helped us choose the venue for our wedding reception were hall space, layout and cost. We had 300 invited guests and needed a location that would fit them all at a reasonable price without compromising on the mood we wanted for our reception,” Denise recalled.

We first heard about Memory Lane Video through pinterest but got our firsthand experience with them at a bridal expo. The sample videos they showed at the expo immediately captured our attention and we knew we could not settle for anyone less,” said the couple.

Now that the wedding has commence, we learned that you need to take a moment to stop and take in the details. With all the hustle and bustle of the wedding agenda, it is easy to not stop and smell the roses. Literally. The things we thought were the most important were the guest list and seating arrangement. They were the most stressful part of the wedding planning. Looking back on it now, the guest list was not as important as we thought leading into the wedding. You ultimately have no control over who will take the time to come celebrate with you, regardless if they RSVP or not,” Denise and Adrian recalled.

One word of advice we can provide to future couples on planning their wedding is to take time out of your planning for each other. Don’t forget to go out for dinner or the movies and enjoy each other. It will be those moments that remind you why you are marrying this person and will help you get through the stresses of planning a wedding together,” said Denise.

What made us book Memory Lane Video was the creativity and uniqueness portrayed through all of their videos. That coupled with the friendly staff made booking them a no-brainer for us. We were lucky enough to have found Memory Lane Video first in our search for videographers so we had no need to search for other companies. We fell in love with the videos from their website and our meeting with Ricky sealed the deal. On the day of the event, we most admired the professionalism displayed by the staff of Memory Lane Video. At times they were so inconspicuous we forgot they were even there. They were never in your face and allowed people to be themselves, without worrying about being on camera. That combined with their friendliness left us very satisfied with our decision to choose them,” recalled the couple.

Wedding photos only capture snapshots of your wedding day but with video you get to relive those moments every time you watch it. The picture of family smiling will never compare to their laughter caught on video. That being said, not everyone wants to see your entire wedding video but MLV transforms your special day into a movie everyone wants to watch,” Denise explained.

The couple bought a brand new car and house 2 months prior to the wedding so their honeymoon was pushed back to August. Right now they are deciding between Jamaica and the Virgin Islands but they’ll settle for anywhere in the Caribbean. They did however have a mini honeymoon in Lake Las Vegas right after the wedding to help them relax and settle into their new marriage.
