Canyon Gate Country Club – Jessica + Scott – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Scott and Jessica first met back in the summer of 2006 through their mutual friends during a trip to the Jersey Shore. Their paths crossed again on Labor Day weekend at a friend’s apartment, when they played on opposing teams during a game of Cranium. Their competitive streaks came out that night, but they also saw something special in one another.

For Jess, “The moment I remember most, and will always treasure, happened during the ceremony. Scott has always affectionately called me “princess”, even when I’m being my most difficult self. He found a way to include this nickname in his vows, which I wasn’t expecting at all. I remember laughing with him and thinking how perfectly that moment reflected our relationship.”

For Scott, “Our wedding was everything that I wanted it to be.  Jessica looked great, good weather, close family and friends, the ceremony, cake, cigars, dancing, memories…  What I remember most is that our wedding was everything that we wanted it to be.”

The couple chose Canyon Gate Country Club as the venue in Las Vegas to host their dream wedding.  The beauty, convenience, and quality of service of Canyon Gate stand on its own. However, what really sealed the deal for them was the flexibility and kindness the Canyon Gate staff offered us when they discovered the venue the couple had originally booked at had suddenly and unexpectedly closed.   After a few initial conversations with Keri and receiving raving reviews from our other vendors, including Memory Lane, we knew Canyon Gate would be our perfect venue.

“We booked it before we even saw it in person – something that we never could have imagined doing. We visited Canyon Gate shortly after and immediately knew we had made the perfect choice. Canyon Gate offered us one destination to bring all our out-of-town guests for our wedding, but had a variety of locations to hold our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception which made every aspect of the day and night feel fresh and new. We were amazed by the stunning views of the Red Rock mountains and immaculate golf course, which provided the most picturesque backdrop to our dream day.”

“We knew videography was going to be an important part of capturing the memories of our Wedding Day for years to come. We asked our trusted photographer, Jason Skinner, for a recommendation. As a destination couple, we relied on Jason’s recommendations on other vendors and he would usually come back with a short list. In this case, he came back with only one – Memory Lane. That alone spoke volumes about how respected Memory Lane is amongst their industry peers and the quality product they produce.  I reached out to Ricky immediately after getting Jason’s recommendation, and we spoke on the phone shortly after that. Ricky reviewed Memory Lane’s impressive body of work with me, and I remember getting chills from seeing the other videos they’ve shot.”

“What I liked best is how ever-present the videographers seemed – you knew they weren’t ever far away and were capturing every moment – but they never felt in the way. They worked tirelessly through the ceremony and reception. They had an easy, existing rapport with the Canyon Gate, DJ Harry “O”, and Jason Skinner, and were in constant communication to ensure the entire day and night went off without a hitch.  You get something from video that photographs simply can’t provide, like the inflection and emotion in your voices as you say your vows to one another. We wanted to preserve those moments so our children and families could witness the love, joy, and excitement we felt on our Wedding Day.”  Jessica recalled

The couple left for their honeymoon about 2 weeks after their wedding. They visited Rome and then took a Mediterranean cruise to ports in Italy, Greece, and Turkey.

Jessica & Scott hold a dear place in our hearts.  These two went through quite an ordeal with their venue, but chose the perfect place, Canyon Gate Country Club.  But, throughout their struggle, the pair of them always held a bright outlook on everything, they were NEVER negative or stressed, instead they handled everything with the utmost poise.  We love that.  Memory Lane Video wishes nothing but the best for them & their family; a life full of love, live & celebration.  Thank-you for allowing us to be a a part of your special day.
