Cili at Bali Hai – Ruthie + Matt – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Both Ruthie and Matt are in the medical profession. Ruthie is a Registered Nurse and Matt is a Critical Care Respiratory Therapist.

The love birds met 9 years ago when both worked at Kaiser Walnut Creek. Matt was interested in Ruthie but she only thought of him as a fellow coworker. When Matt transferred into another facility, they lost touch. Fast forward seven years and Matt was persuaded by one of his best friends to join Match.com. Shortly after, Ruth’s best friend and sister pushed her to sign up on that same dating site. Two days after Ruthie created her profile, she received a message from a familiar face. After a few more messages, the pair decided to meet in Alameda at Linguini’s for lunch as old friends. “Lunch” that day turned into an all-day event and as they say, the rest is history…

The most memorable thing we can remember from our wedding was how many of our beloved friends and family took time out of their busy lives to be at our destination wedding in Las Vegas” said the couple.

The moment from their wedding that Ruthie and Matt still can’t stop thinking about was Ruthie’s tearful father-daughter dance and Matt’s emotional mother-son dance. Both moments were very near and dear to their hearts.

Ruthie and Matt’s three favorite details from their wedding were… “1) we know it sounds mean but it was: the fact that many guests were so emotionally moved that they shed tears during certain parts of the wedding, 2) How amazing our Bali Hai wedding coordinator-Tracy Horn and the staff were. Their attention to fine details and enthusiasm to help us in any way possible was very endearing. Matt and I, and our guests truly felt like royalty, 3) the varying reactions our guest had to different parts of the wedding.”

The couple advises to “start the projects as soon as possible because 80% of the coupe end up working on projects up until the night before their wedding” and to “do most of the family portraits before the wedding, otherwise you won’t have time to”.

They key factors that influenced the couple into choosing their venue was “the tropical atmosphere of Bali Hai and how delicious the food was. Honestly no one really remembers how the flowers are set or what the color scheme was, but EVERYBODY remembers good food and terrible food, and Bali Hai has the best food in town.”

Now that their wedding has commenced, the most important thing the couple learned was not to “sweat the things that don’t go according to plan, but to just embrace and soak in the event and the emotions of the day.”

Memory Lane Video was highly recommended by every venue we visited in Las Vegas. And that’s saying a lot because we visited 10 venues. We watched a few of their masterpieces and were speechless! Their professionalism, communication, quick responses, and above and beyond accommodations made the whole process so smooth and stress free.” added the couple.

We were so blessed with all the vendors that we ended up with. Memory Lane Video, Ari Simphoukham Photography, Shutterbooth, Makeup by Sydney Le, Knight Sounds and our secret surprise vendor which served liquid-nitrogen frozen popcorn on varying flavors were all definitely the dream team!” admitted the couple.

For our honeymoon, we wanted to treat ourselves for throwing such a successful wedding. We chose Moorea and Bora Bora. We have never met a single person who has gone to Bora Bora and regretted it. Also because we are exhausted from making plans, we enlisted the help of a travel agent for this trip.” concluded the couple.

Memory Lane Video wishes you both a happy marriage!
