Kevin and Gabriella met through a mutual friend. Their friend showed Kevin a photo of Gabriella and as soon as he saw that photo, Kevin knew that he wanted to get  to know Gabriella. Kevin used the friend’s phone to send Gabriella a text that consisted of a ‘;)’ (a winky face) and ever since then, the two have not stopped talking. They officially met in person when they were at soccer tryouts at the Kellogg Zaher field.

Their first date was not a conventional date. At the ages of 16 and 17, Gabriella snuck out of her house and went over to Kevin’s house. From there, they did not have dinner reservations for a fancy restaurant, instead they bought meals from Jack in the Box and watched A Knights Tale. However, they told their parents that for their ‘fire date’ they went to the movies to watch Grown Ups.

Similar to their first date, the proposal was not normal either. After giving another couple a tour and discussing with them how wonderful it would be to have an anniversary date on January 2nd, Gabriella later told Kevin that she wanted to be married on January 2nd. Kevin surprised Gabriella by saying “Let’s do it!”. The next day, Kevin took Gabriella to a jewelry store and they picked out the engagement ring together. After purchasing the ring, Kevin surprised Gabriella once again by getting down on one knee and proposed to her in the middle of the jewelry store!

Because Gabriella told Kevin that she wanted her wedding anniversary date to be January 2nd, they became husband and wife on January 2nd! They always wanted a winter wedding and January 2nd was the perfect time to have family and friends travel to Las Vegas.

Kevin and Gabriella chose Emerald at Queensridge because of how beautiful the courtyard looked at night. Gabriella says that you truly “can’t beat how romantic the courtyard looks when it is all lit up”. They also loved that Emerald had such a versatile space. They were able to decorate the room anyway they wanted to and it would still come out looking amazing!

According to Gabriella, the most memorable moment for her was when Kevin read his vows to her. Through all the mishaps that they been through together, hearing Kevin commit his life to Gabriella with sweet words will be something that Gabriella will hold dear to her heart. She said that she has, “never felt as much happiness as I did when I heard him read his vows”. Meanwhile, Kevin’s most memorable moment was when Gabriella was walking down the aisle. Kevin describes the moment as “beyond perfect” as everyone looked at Gabriella, Gabriella only looked at him. Kevin could not help but become emotional when he saw how beautiful Gabriella was. All he could think of was “wow” because “no words could express how I felt in that moment”.

Kevin and Gabriella agreed that they would allocate most of their budget on the decor and all the small details. Everything that they chose was what they wanted to be a part of their wedding memories. Their wedding theme was Batman, therefore they spent the most on a huge batman sign of the wall and sequin linens everywhere. They do not regret their decision because these little details along with the decor was something they will remember forever.

Gabriella and Kevin heard about Memory Lane Video through Emerald at Queensridge. When Gabriella began working at Emeralds, she would watch  admire all of the highlight videos posted on Memory Lane Video’s blog. While watching the highlight videos, she would begin tearing up because she knew that when she would get married, she would choose Memory Lane to film her wedding. Thus, the couple never considered any other wedding video company apart from Memory Lane. Because Gabriella already knew Memory Lane’s capabilities, the couple booked with Memory Lane right away. During their consultation, they were both tearing up while watching our videos instantly knew that Memory Lane was able to capture the emotions of the day.

On the day of the wedding, the couple admired how professional the Memory Lane team was. The only time Kevin and Gabriella realized that Memory Lane was there was when they had to be interviewed. Other than those moments, Memory Lane was virtually invisible. Another aspect Kevin and Gabriella admired was how respectful the team was and how the team never got in the way.

The couple cannot express how important it is to have a wedding video because it captures something that pictures cannot. The video is the best way to relive all the emotions and remember the little events that were forgotten. Kevin and Gabriella’s wedding was very emotional and pictures alone could not have captured those emotions. The couple wants to mention that “people should book (with) Memory Lane because they are the best! They create something that you can enjoy forever!”

Apart from Memory Lane, they were also happy to work with Blossoms by Gayle. Kevin and Gabriella were blown away by Gayle’s work. She was able to give the couple the “flowers of (their) dreams”. Another vender was Paper and Home. They were amazed how creative and patient the Paper and Home team was throughout the whole process.

In the future, Kevin and Gabriella want to start a family. They always knew that they want to have a family together and now that they are married, they will finally be able to make their next dream come true. Apart from starting a family, they both want to travel then settle down and purchase a home.
