Emerald at QueensRidge – Andrea + Steven – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Andrea works in Convention Services at the MGM Grand and Steven is Active Duty Military in the Air Force.

“We first met each other on a “blind date” set up by our mutual friends Shawn & Erika. They told each of us about each other and Steve was all excited to meet me but I was not interested in meeting anyone at the time. Since our friends thought we would be perfect together they decided to have some fun with it and just set me up without me knowing. One night I got out of work early so asked if Erika wanted to meet for drinks. She agreed and was going to bring Shawn with her so they decided it would be a great idea to tell Steve that they were meeting up with me and for him to come if he ever wanted to meet me. I didn’t know any better so I thought he just happened to be at the same place as us! We all hung out and had a great time and since I thought he was super-hot I agreed to hang out with him again and we have been inseparable ever since,” Andrea recalled.
“My favorite part of the wedding reception was the garter dance. Steve is a very reserved person and had never even heard of a garter dance before so he had no idea what to do. All I told him is that you take the garter off of me from under my dress so I figured he would just do that quickly and it would be over but he busted out the moves and it was such a fun moment watching him let loose and have fun with it,” said Andrea.

“The three details that were our favorite from our wedding day was when the doors first opened and we saw each other’s expression, dancing with all of our friends and family and getting ready with our bridal party,” the couple recalled.

“Our advice for other couples planning their wedding is to not stress out about everything and don’t let planning consume your life. It’s much easier said than done but everything works out and the day of you’re too busy to even worry about the details that you’ve been so concerned about,”explained Andrea and Steven.

“The key factor for choosing the venue for our reception, Emerald at QueensRidge, was the look of the ceremony and reception space! The venue was absolutely beautiful and we needed minimal décor,” the couple said.

“We are so happy that we chose Memory Lane Video and were also happy that we had our main photographer William from Cashman. Also Brenda that did my dress alternation was the most amazing person I’ve ever worked with,” explained Andrea.

“We saw Memory Lane Video at one of the bridal shows and then read reviews online and they all were extremely positive reviews,” the couple said.

“Now that the wedding is over, we learned that it is just 1 day so don’t stress the small stuff. The guests do not know anything except they are there to celebrate your love so if something isn’t exactly how you pictured it nobody knows the difference. We thought that the bar and DJ were the most important. The décor was not worth the stress, everything turned out beautiful and the staff was more than willing to help set everything up and make sure that everything was perfect,” explained Andrea and Steven.

“I didn’t care whether we had a videographer or not and Steve was on the fence but as soon as we met with Memory Lane Video and saw their work Steve asked to sign the contract that night because he was so impressed,” Andrea said.

“On the day of our wedding, what we loved most about Memory Lane Video was how nice and professional the entire staff was,” explained the couple.

“Videography is so important because the day goes by so quick that you honestly feel like the ceremony and reception only lasted a few minutes so it’s important to have a video to look back and watch the day in full and relive how much fun the day was! Videography is so worth it since it’s something you can’t get back and you might as well get the best,” Andrea and Steven said.

For their honeymoon, the couple went to Grace Bay Beach on Turks & Caicos. They chose this location because of the beautiful beaches and the fact that there is nothing to do besides relax on the beach and enjoy delicious food!
