Emerald at QueensRidge – Samantha + Randall Willett – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

It was one day after Christmas in 2014. Randy planned for his family and Samantha’s to meet at Olive Garden for a holiday family dinner. Little did Samantha know that this dinner would change her life. On their drive to the restaurant, Randy wanted to wait for everyone to order drinks and stand up to say a toast. As Samantha is expressing her love for her family at the toast, Randy sneakily pulls a ring out of his pocket. He then drops down on one knee and proposes to Samantha. “Everyone knew it was coming except me. It was the biggest and best surprise of my life!”, Samantha states. Randy had planned the day for months. He hid the ring, asked Samantha’s parents for her blessing, and had Samantha’s sister get their nails done. April 26th was the special hand-picked day for the wedding because the couple got engaged on December 26th. They knew they wanted the wedding to take place in the Spring so that the weather would be just right, and April seemed like the best month!

While venue-hunting, Samantha states, “We knew we wanted the ceremony and reception to be all at one place for convenience and organization. That way it simplified planning our big day. We also wanted a venue that was exclusively known for weddings and only hosts one wedding in a day. Our wedding was our special day and we wanted to feel like the only bride and groom! We visited several venues and all of them had pros and cons, some things we loved and other things that were basically deal breakers. When we walked into Emerald at Queensridge, we both looked at each other and knew that we were getting married there! The venue checked off every box on our wish list! From the gorgeous outdoor ceremony spot to the grand staircase we got to walk down, to the food, to the bridal suite, and everything in between; our wedding was beyond perfect. We are SO thrilled we picked Emerald at Queensridge!

There were many vendors at their wedding, including Memory Lane. As Samantha says, “There were several vendors that we are glad we chose to be apart of our special day. A lot of them were included in our package from Emerald at Queensridge, but they were wonderful. Las Vegas Custom Cakes did our cake and we got 3 delicious flavors so there was variety for everyone! We got chocolate, red velvet, and blueberry cake! YUM. Cashman Brothers Photography was included as well, but we wouldn’t have chosen anyone else! Gilbert did our complimentary session where we got to meet him and do some “engagement” photos. We loved him and we were at ease knowing he would photograph our wedding as well!! We are so lucky to have been matched with him! I booked Makeup in the 702 for my hair and makeup! They were amazing and I felt like the most beautiful version of myself, and Randy couldn’t stop telling me how beautiful I looked all night!! Flowers weren’t included, but we used a family friend, Sally Decker. Flowers weren’t super important to me until I saw the bouquet she made me! I couldn’t have created a better one in my wildest dreams! It was perfect! We had so much fun working with all of the amazing vendors, and we are so grateful they made our dreams come true and executed the perfect wedding for us!

When asked about first hearing about Memory Lane Video, Samantha said that they knew that they had to have videography, along with photography, and Emerald at Queensridge recommended Memory Lane Video. “Booking with Memory Lane was the easiest decision we made for our wedding! We watched 3 different packages that Memory Lane offered and they were all wonderful. But when we got to the 3rd package, we instantly knew we had to go all out no matter the cost!! When I cried watching a complete stranger’s wedding video, I knew that second we would be working with Memory Lane. The quality of work and the way they made us feel was indescribable!” Samantha proclaims about Memory Lane Video. Samantha states that “Even though they seemed to be everywhere, they were never in the way or distracting anyone from the wedding itself! It felt like they were camera magicians and the level of professionalism and friendliness was exactly what we expected! They sure delivered! We had SO many guests come up to us and say they were so impressed at how well they were doing!

The couple does not regret hiring a video company for their special day. They state that you can cut and eat the cake, and buy the most expensive flowers, however, nothing will have the same durability and nostalgia as a video. Also, for those family members who couldn’t make it to the wedding, they have a video of the special moments that happened that day to show them. When asked why Samantha and Randy think that video is important, they state, “We think video is so important because we will be able to relive our special day over and over again forever! We will be able to see things that were captured that we didn’t even see on that day! We will be able to show our love story to friends and family that couldn’t make it to the wedding because of illness, age, life, etc. Most importantly, we will be able to show our future children how much we love each other so that they know how and why we created a family! The best decision we made when planning our wedding was booking Memory Lane because we know we will have these memories forever, but now we will get to watch them anytime we want!!! Everyone should book Memory Lane because they make you fall in love with other people’s love stories! They truly make incredible art.
