Hilton Lake Las Vegas – Bianca + Dayne – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Bianca is the owner/instructor of a dance studio, Bianca’s Dance Company, located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB Canada. Dayne is completing his mechanical engineering degree at the University of Alberta and also instructs at the dance studio.

Bianca and Dayne first met at Shelley’s Dance Company in 2002 when they were both 12 years old. It was not love at first sight however as even though they were placed in the same dance routines they never spoke the entire dance season. The next year Bianca transferred from her junior high school in Stony Plain to Victoria School of Visual and Performing Arts where Dayne was also a student. Bianca recognized Dayne from dance class but still they had no communication. It was not until Shelley Tookey, owner and instructor of Shelley’s Dance Company made the two kids duet partners that they began to warm up to each other. During the first duet rehearsal Shelley made the two hug because she wanted them to be comfortable with each other doing lifts and partner work. That really broke the ice and that year Bianca and Dayne became great friends spending lots of time together both at school and the dance studio. On June 24th 2004 Bianca phoned Dayne up and asked him to officially be her boyfriend. Dayne said yes and since then the two have been inseparable. There was a rule against dating at the studio and even though Bianca and Dayne were able to keep their relationship a secret for months eventually the other students and staff found out. The pair continued at Shelley’s Dance Company performing five duets before high school graduation. Immediately after graduation Bianca and Dayne moved out from their parents homes and into their own apartment. It was shortly after that Dayne proposed.

“The most memorable thing for us about the wedding day was the ceremony. It was so emotional and so special. If felt amazing to be saying our vows and becoming husband and wife after 10 years together. There are so many special moments from the entire day we can’t stop thinking about all the amazing memories we created that day,” Bianca and Dayne recalled.

“There were so many amazing details that made our wedding unique and personal. Our 3 favorite details were:

1, our photographer Edi from Images by Edi. Her and her assistant were absolutely amazing and captured every moment of the day perfectly. We are so happy that in years from now when the details of the day are not as clear we have all of our stunning photographs to look back on.

2, the decor! As this was a destination wedding for us we did not have an opportunity to see much of the decor in person. We were completely blown away by the work Pin Up Brides did in creating a beautiful ceremony site as well as unbelievable reception decor. It was all so breathtaking and more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.

3, the details that all of our friends and family put into the day were amazing. All the small details like a bridesmaid making sure we had champagne and orange juice while we got ready to my mother steaming my dress perfectly to the incredible slideshow my maid of honor shared at the reception. All those details really make the day,” said the couple.

“If I could offer advice for other couples planning their wedding it would be to just relax because it all comes together in the end. Not everything will go exactly according to plan but that’s okay.  Instead of stressing over tiny hick ups in the day focus on all the amazing things that are happening. Also seek help and advice early on in the planning stages. Dayne was so busy with university and work that I did most of the planning myself. Planning a wedding a running my own business was insanely stressful and I wish I would have asked for help from family and friends earlier on instead of trying to do everything myself. The best piece of advice I can offer is stick to your wedding budget and try to account for as many expenses as possible when making the budget. If you are having a destination wedding make sure to renew your passport! I realized my passport was expired on the way to the airport and we had to delay flying to Las Vegas. Luckily we were able to make it and only had to delay our flight by a few hours but it was definitely stress we did not need a couple days before the wedding,” Bianca explained.

“The key factor that helped us choose our venue was the stunning location. We wanted a Las Vegas destination wedding without all of the glitz and glam of the strip. The Hilton at Lake Las Vegas was perfect because it’s not too far from the strip but far enough that it has an elegance and tranquility that you don’t find on the Las Vegas strip. Both the scenery of Lake Las Vegas and the Hilton Hotel were perfect for the tone we were trying to set for our wedding,” said the couple.

“Aside from Memory Lane Video, we were also really happy with our DJ from Elegant Entertainment. He really knew how to keep the party going at the reception and got all our guests up off their feet dancing,” Bianca and Dayne recalled.

“There is so much we learned through the process of planning the wedding and the day of that we could write a book! Honestly the most important thing is to enjoy the day and take time to create special moments with just the two of you and with all of your friends and family. It goes by so incredibly fast so just enjoy. There were so many things that were not worth the stress but also necessary to make our day come together. Planning a wedding is stressful but you get what you put in. Although at times the planning process felt overwhelming I’m glad we did all that we did because it made our wedding day feel perfect and it was all worth it,”explained the couple.

“We found Memory Lane Video online while doing research on wedding vendors. They had the best reviews by far than any other videographers in the area. They also had the most interactive website with samples of their work which made it so easy to feel comfortable booking them from Canada.  They were so great at answering all my questions by phone and email which is so important when planning a destination wedding,” Bianca and Dayne said.

“After inquiring with Memory Lane Video and seeing their work I was sold! I was able to meet with them on a trip I took with my mother to Las Vegas about 6 months before the wedding and after seeing all of their work I did not want to meet with any other video companies. When I got home I showed everything to Dayne and we booked them right away,” recalled Bianca.

“On the day of the event what we admired most about Memory Lane Video was their skill, professionalism and attention to detail. They always knew where to be and what to do even at times when we felt lost. They really helped guide us through the day and their attention to detail was something we really appreciated. It felt like they really took the time to make sure everything was perfect for us,” the couple said.

“For us having fantastic video service was at the top of our wedding priority list. Video is so important because after your own memories of the day fade you will have something to watch to relive those special moments. The day flies by so fast so even things you may have missed on your wedding day you can look back at the video and see all those details. Future couples should book with  Memory Lane Video because of their skill, professionalism and attention to detail. They are the best in the business and can show you their work to prove it,” explained Bianca and Dayne.

“The two of us had our Honeymoon in St. Lucia. After looking at so many different destinations we decided on St. Lucia because it had everything we were looking for. It wasn’t too far, we knew we didn’t want to go on a 20 hour plane ride after the wedding, it had lots of things to do and seemed like a fantastic island to relax which was our main priority after the wedding. We decided to stay at two different resorts on opposite sides of the island to really experience all St Lucia had to offer. It was so nice to have some time just for the two of us after the wedding to reflect on the day and spend some quality time together as husband and wife,” the couple said.
