Canyon Gate Country Club – Lucy + Andy – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

“Both of us are in Financial Sales, Andy works for Paychex as a 401 (k) Sales Representative and Lucy works for American Express as a Manager of Business Development.” described the couple.   When asked how the couple met, they answered “After knowing of one another through mutual friends but never actually speaking, we randomly ran into each other one night while out with friends. After a couple of drinks we danced the entire night and have never looked back since then!”  “Our first date was at I Love Sushi.  After sharing a few rolls, I noticed Lucy wasn’t the typical girl who orders water and a salad- and at that point, I knew she was a keeper! She laughed at my jokes and had a few of her own, I couldn’t stop staring at her beautiful eyes, and she made me feel like I could be myself around her. I knew after that, that this was going to be for the long haul.” excitedly reported Andy.

“Walking down the aisle alongside my parents and seeing Andy next to the altar was the most memorable moment for me because at that point in time when we locked eyes, everyone else seized to exist. While our guests were focused on watching me walk down the aisle, the only person I was focused on was Andy. The way he looked back at me with so much love in his eyes comforted my nerves and made it a truly special moment.” had to be Lucy’s most memorable memory.

The three things that struck the couple the most from the wedding were ” 1- Family: Having our most loved family members (Having the privilege of Lucy’s grandma being present, especially) with us on our day. 2- Fun: It was important to us that our guests not only attend, but also truly enjoy themselves! 3- Music: Although its not the sort of music we listen to everyday, the wedding wouldn’t have been complete without having two of our favorite cultural genres of music. Lucy always dreamed of having Mariachi’s play at her wedding one day, and Andy was excited to have his favorite band play.”

“Take your time! We got engaged in August of 2013 and held our wedding in October of 2014. Having plenty of time to select the perfect wedding dress, venue, flowers, DJ, officiant, photographer, videographer, etc. was definitely a key factor in allowing us to have the wedding that we envisioned. All of the details and moving parts of having a wedding can be overwhelming, but at the end of the day remember that the only thing that truly matters is the beautiful bond you are about to form with this other person- not what color your table linens will be at the reception. Give yourself ample time to sort out the details and the entire process will be less stressful!” advised the couple.

About their wedding reception, the couple explained that “We had visited multiple venues and ultimately selected Canyon Gate Country Club  because of the beauty of the property and the fantastic customer service and follow-up that the event coordinators had shown us.  Canyon Gate was a standout from the beginning because of their willingness to go above and beyond for us. Throughout the lengthy planning process, Kristen and Brittany at Canyon Gate stayed close to us and stayed in contact with all of our vendors to ensure a flawless wedding day. All of these factors led to us selecting Canyon Gate and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with amazing staff!”

Apart from Memory Lane, what other vendor/vendor were you happy you chose to be a part of your special day? “We were happy with all of our vendors! Cravin Cake did a fantastic job with our cake, not only aesthetically, but it was also perfectly moist and delicious (especially the Red Velvet and Nutella layers we had!)  Alain Martinez photography also did an amazing job capturing the special moments and facilitating our first look which was truly unforgettable. Mariachi Sol was another standout for us, they were extremely professional and provided the perfect elegant Mariachi services we were hoping for. We were very fortunate to have great vendors for multiple aspects of our wedding.” said the couple.

“We discovered Memory Lane online after searching for quality videographers in Las Vegas.” reported Lucy.  “The quality of Memory Lane’s videos speak for themselves. Memory Lane was by far the most professional and detail oriented company that we had come across.” explained the couple. “We never inquired with other companies because everyone else’s work seemed sub-par in comparison to Memory Lane. We chose to go with Memory Lane because we didn’t want our wedding Video to be typical, we wanted it to be a skillfully put together film that could transport us back to our special day each time we saw it.” reported Andy.  “We most admired Memory Lane’s professionalism. Throughout the night, we didn’t even notice they were there. We were appreciative of the fact that they kept their distance and didn’t interfere with the natural flow of the wedding, but yet still made sure to capture all of the important moments.” said the couple.

“The biggest thing we learned from the wedding was that you can’t please everyone. Guests and family members may have their own ideas/suggestions/wishes, but remember that it’s YOUR big day, no one else’s.” concluded the couple.

About the necessity of video at a wedding, the couple said “Video for us was never a “maybe” it was always a must! Video can capture emotion in a way that photography simply cannot. The actual day of the wedding will go by in the blink of an eye. Do yourself a favor and book Memory Lane to capture the laughs, the crying and all of the beautiful moments that you will want to cherish forever!”

“We chose Jamaica as our honeymoon destination and we LOVED IT! We decided to leave the very next day after the wedding and truly make it a Honeymoon experience. We had already visited the more common honeymoon destinations such as Mexico, Hawaii, and Europe so we thought the white sand beaches and turquoise water of the Caribbean would make the ideal getaway. To any couples contemplating Jamaica as their honeymoon destination, we HIGHLY recommend the Sandals resorts, you will not be disappointed!” happily described the married couple.
