Bruce and Itzel both work for IPC, the purchasing cooperative of SUBWAY®.  Bruce is the Director of Remote Ordering and Payments, and Izel is the Product Specialist for Digital Menu Boards, SUBWAY® TV & Radio.

“Bruce and I met in 2009 at IPC where we both work.  However, we didn’t start dating until two years later when I almost crashed into him in the parking garage at work. When I contacted him to apologize for almost denting his fender, he said he’d only forgive me if I allowed him to take me to dinner.  I said ‘yes’ and look where we are now.  Thank goodness for my bad driving,” Itzel recalled.

“I know it is a bit cliché, and so many people refer to walking down the aisle as the most memorable, but seeing Bruce’s face for the first time as his son walked me down the aisle was the most memorable moment not only from the wedding but from my entire life,” said Itzel.  “The most memorable thing from the wedding was reading the vows that I wrote professing my love in front of all our family and friends,” said Bruce.

“Counting down the top 3 details from the wedding that were our favorite,  3) The glow sticks, rings and glasses for the guests to enjoy was the perfect touch 2) The wedding cake & grooms cake. Shout out to Tiffany from Peridot Sweets who did an amazing job! 1) The view of the Las Vegas strip, that appeared to shine brighter that night just for us, from the roof of the Platinum Hotel,” the couple recalled.

“If I could offer couples who are planning their wedding any advice, it would be to always kiss before you go to bed.  The stress of planning a wedding can test even the best of couples, but at the end of the night look into his/her eyes and kiss before going to bed.  If you can get through the wedding planning, you can get through ANYTHING,” said Itzel. “The only piece of advice I have is, Happy wife, Happy life,” said Bruce

“What helped us narrow our decision for the location of the ceremony/reception was the view and the price.  However what sealed the deal on the venue was the responsiveness and professionalism of Jamie Madalena the wedding coordinator for The Platinum Hotel,” explained the couple.

“I first learned of Memory Lane Video through theknot.com.  They stood out with only perfect ratings from multiple brides, not only on theknot.com but also on the other 4 wedding planning websites I subscribed to,” Itzel recalled.

“Looking back a few things we learned were: 1) Always ask for samples, swatches, and/or references, 2) Don’t sweat the small stuff 3) The details ARE important but 98% percent of the guests wont even notice,” said Itzel and Bruce.

“Our problem (aka Itzel’s problem) was that we, (the bride) thought EVERYTHING was important.  Now looking back we (aka Itzel) would not have stressed the confetti cannons not going off according to the rigid agenda (sorry for letting bridezilla peek her ugly head out), and the last minute guest changes and/or mini disasters were definitely not worth the stress,” explained Bruce.

To future couples on planning their wedding, surround yourself with people that you love and trust and don’t be afraid to delegate responsibilities to them,” said the couple.

“I am textbook Type A personality, which was kicked into overdrive during the wedding planning stage.  Before I made any decision no matter how big or small, I researched and analyzed my options.  After completing my due diligence, I found that Memory Lane stood out from the rest.  I chose to book with Memory Lane Video because their reviews were excellent, the quality of their work was exceptional and their style was different from all the other cookie-cutter wedding videos I’d seen,” Itzel recalled.

“On our wedding day, what we admired most about Memory Lane Video was that they were punctual, professional and provided great direction,” said the couple.

“Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life.  You spend months, weeks and even years planning it in some cases, and when the day finally arrives it is like you blink and it’s over.  Having a videographer you trust capture every smile, every tear and every heartfelt moment for you and your family & friends to enjoy for years to come is something you can’t put a price on.  The wedding day will come and go before you know it, but having that day captured on video, you’ll be able to relive those moments over and over again,” explained Itzel and Bruce.

“Since we live in South Beach, Florida we decided to forgo the typical tropical honeymoon destinations, and instead we chose to visit Asia.  Our 2 ½ week adventure started with 3 days Seoul, South Korea.  Our next stop was Beijing, followed by Hong Kong for New Years, Macau and finally Tokyo, Japan,” said the couple.
