Ben proposed to me on our trip to Europe. Our first stop was London. On the flight to London I had picked up his briefcase, and I noticed that he seemed incredibly anxious about that. I assumed it was because all our passports and travel documents were secure in there but later I found out it was also where he was holding his grandmother’s beautiful ring. When we arrived in London, he was acting very indecisive about what we do, and I was becoming frustrated because I did not want to be responsible for making all the decisions. On the first day I attributed it to jet lag, but by the end of the second day, I expressed my annoyance. He seemed to relax at that moment, and we made our way back to our hotel. Ben proposed within minutes of reentering our room. It turns out he was trying so hard to figure out the best place to propose that he couldn’t take his mind off it. He got down on one knee, and I couldn’t believe what was happening. I knew that we loved each other and that the time would eventually come, but for some reason, I didn’t expect it to be on that trip. Proposing in the hotel room was perfect. It was private, and we both were allowed to say everything that we wanted to say to one another.

The wedding date was for the most part chosen because we both love the October weather. Additionally, it is close to the wedding anniversary of couple’s who have influenced our lives greatly and taught us what love means. Tracey’s parents celebrate their anniversary on October 25th, and Ben’s mother and stepfather celebrate their anniversary on November 4th.

We chose Rhodes Ranch for our wedding venue first and foremost because of how beautiful the ceremony site is. The backdrop of the mountains and all the different greens from the golf course made it very picturesque. We received many compliments about how beautiful this space was. Additionally, we liked the idea of having the wedding reception have two separate areas; one inside and one outside. We have attended weddings where it seemed you couldn’t escape the loud music and have a conversation.  We wanted our guests to be able to enjoy the beautiful fall nights of Las Vegas but still dance the night away. Finally, we chose our venue because of the coordinator we knew we would be allowed to work with, Kristen Raftery. Upon meeting her, she made us at ease, and we knew that putting this event in her hands was going to make everything flow smooth. We were not disappointed.

The Photo Booth was a great late addition for our wedding.  It got our guests going, gave them a fun memento of the evening, and gave us even more fantastic fun pictures of our family!  The other would be Rhodes Ranch as a whole.  From the staff, food, bar, venue, and overall quality, everything felt like it made our day so memorable.

Ana Villalpando and her husband Dave, from Ana Studios, were amazing photographers. They made us feel at ease the entire time.  Neither of us is comfortable being the center of attention, but they made us feel at ease when taking pictures. Not to mention the fact that everything came out above and beyond our expectations.

Pastor Pete, from Elegant Las Vegas Weddings, made our ceremony fun, humorous, and memorable.  He made the process simple and made what can be a stressful moment, perfect.

Flowers we did with Enchanted Florist.  The staff was very friendly and customized what we were looking for.  The process was simple, and the flowers came out perfect.

Photo Booth with Shutterbooth.  This was a late add to your wedding, but a great one!  The staff was great.  This was an incredibly fun extra for our guests, and for us.  It was so cool to be able to leave our wedding night with an extra giant book of photos with our guests.  Each one looks like our family and friends were having fun, so certainly worth it!

Las Vegas Custom Cakes was also incredibly easy and fun to work with.  After one fun tasting, they were off and delivered above and beyond.  We got so many compliments on our cake, it was great!

Angel from High Flyin DJ was a great person to lead our evening.  He was fun, entertaining, and just a great DJ.  He kept our party going all night!

Popcorn Girl put together a great end of night snack for our group.  We are now regulars in their store too here locally!

We heard about Memory Lane from Ana Villapando and Kristen Raftery.  The presentation and meeting with John were both very organized, professional, and showed off a beautiful product.  He was confident in what his team did, and it showed in the videos we saw.  The ability of the staff to relate to what we were doing.  They understood the stress of the day, talked us through everything, and helped us settle ourselves into the moment.  They were also great at getting us to reflect while the event was going on, which was an excellent way to make sure we felt like we were taking in the moment.   While I don’t recall the name of the other company, it didn’t come close when it came to customer service.  John was friendly, personable, and professional.   The other company that came recommended to us didn’t come close.   Although we have yet to see our video, we hope that it’s a great way for us to remember and cherish the day.  We are so excited to see the video for the first time, and I’m sure we will watch the video many times after that for the years to come.
