Where It All Started and The Proposal
It all started when Katrina Castillo and Marlon Espina went on their first date, almost ten years ago. Marlon Espina took Katrina Castillo down to Downtown Disney, and they watched Lilo and Stitch together.
Marlon Espina tried to recreate their first date for the day he proposed to her. Both of them went to Downtown Disney to watch Jurassic World with the Maid of Honor, Marissa and her boyfriend, Art. They walked into the theatre that was playing Ted 2, even though Katrina was not in a mood to watch that particular movie. But when they entered Lilo and Stitch was playing on the screen and it took Katrina a minute or two to realize that the entire theater was filled with her friends and family, since she was not wearing her glasses. Marlon Espina got down on one knee and proposed to the love of his life right there, she said yes and they got to share that moment with all the people that were important to them. After the proposal, a slideshow of their 10 years together played on the screen as a celebration.
The Venue: The Las Vegas Country Club
Both the bride and the groom were together on the decision that they did not want to have their wedding in a hotel so they started looking around potential venues in Vegas. They visited The Las Vegas Country Club and as soon as they saw the place, they knew they had to have their wedding there. It was the beautiful scene and the terrace that made them make their decision right there and then. The beautiful country club was also close to the church they were marrying at and the Strip where most of the wedding party was staying.
The Date: 14th October 2016
The couple wanted their wedding in a season where it was not too hot or too cold so October it was. As far as the date was concerned, 14th October was special to them. The first time they got together, it was on the 15th. The second time, it was 16th. So now, they have all their anniversaries in a line; the 14th, 15th and the 16th. Now that is pretty amazing, right?
