The Smith Center – Carrie + Kasra – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Kasra and Carrie both work on the strip. Kaz is a Website Product Manager at Las Vegas Sands Corp and Carrie a Sales Manager at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

The couple meet at UNLV while they were both going to college. A mutual friend introduced them and Carrie knew from the moment she met Kasra that there was something special about him. Because they were living in the dorms, they didn’t have a very formal courtship – they just hung out a lot. Their first official date was about a month after they got together. They went to In-n-Out and to the movies.

“The most memorable moment from our wedding day for me was the last two songs that were played (Bohemian rhapsody and I don’t want to miss a thing).  Everyone was on the dance floor singing and I just remember feeling so loved in those final moments of our night,” said Carrie.

“The ceremony and also the grand entrance were probably the two most memorable for me. The song when Carrie and her farther walked down the aisle is one of my all time favorites and it was just a beautiful compliment to the whole moment. And the grand entrance into the reception was just bad ass,” said Kasra.

“The 3 details that are our favorite are: 1, the Dance Floor. We fought for this black and white dance floor throughout the wedding planning process and it totally paid off! 2, all of the stationary. Programs, menus and invitations, etc. 3, the photobooth. The pictures were hilarious,” the couple recalled.

“The one piece of advice we would give is to hire Scheme Events. Rissa and her team truly made this day what it was! She made the whole experience fun and stress free! We honestly don’t know how anyone plans a wedding without a wedding planner. And our wedding planner was the best,” said Carrie and Kasra.

The Smith Center was the only venue we even looked at. We fell in love with the beautiful art-deco architecture and the fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all in the same place made it even more appealing. The venue is just so different from anything else you can find in Las Vegas. It was the perfect venue,” the couple explained.

“We are so happy we choose Alt – F for our photography!! John and Dalisa are geniuses and we cannot wait to see our photos from the big day,” said Carrie and Kasra.

“We knew about Memory Lane Video from one of our closest friends, Tony. We wanted the best and Memory Lane Video along with the fact that Tony has know us for about 6 years made it a no brainer decision,” the couple explained.

“We learned a lot looking back on everything! I think the most important thing we learned is that you can’t do it all by yourself – which brings us back to Rissa and all of the other vendors. Everyone was so professional it was a great experience! The biggest thing that was not worth the stress was the guest list. People who want to be there will be and you have realize the ones who don’t won’t matter on the day. We spent way to much time stressing about how people we invited and who was or wasn’t coming. So silly,” said Carrie and Kasra.

“We wanted to document this day so we would always have something to remember. Memory Lane Video is the best at what they do so who better to create that memory for us? We didn’t even look at other companies. It was always Memory Lane Video from the start! On the day of our wedding, we admired that we didn’t even realize they were filming,” the couple recalled.

“The is a huge necessity for the video. The flowers will die, the food will get thrown away, the dress and suit will get back into boxes but you will always have the video to bring you right back to that day.  Again, because the video is one of the only things that will last forever you want it done right which is way we chose Memory Lane Video and that’s exactly what we tell people,” Carrie and Kasra explained.

“Our honeymoon was in Big Sur, California at The Post Ranch Inn. We only had a limited time for our honeymoon so we want to go somewhere that didn’t take a whole day to get to. It was perfect. So relaxing and beautiful. Exactly what we needed,” said the couple.
