The Smith Center – Tara + Gabriel

Tara Cox is a full time event planner and a proud co-owner of Scheme Events. Gabriel is a server who just graduated from UNLV with an International Business degree looking to jump into his field.

The couple met at work like most couples. Gabriel was a food runner, while Tara was a hostess at Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill at the MGM. Gabriel eyed Tara first and asked her out by writing on the inside of her pizza box she ordered to go. Courtship was fun and sweet. Tara fell in love first.

For Tara & Gabriel, everything was surreal until they had a moment alone after their first look, ceremony and pictures when Tara looked at Gabriel and realized that she was extremely happy and excited for their future together. The entire day was amazing, but in that moment she was so grateful. Gabriel’s most memorable thing was the band singing all of his favorite 80s songs.

As a wedding planner in Las Vegas, Tara didn’t want a venue that she had already worked at. She wanted it to be her’s and Gabriel’s venue. The Smith Center was the perfect spot for that. We also love Broadway and nights at the theater. It was a perfect match.
