Edwin is a licensed Pest control applicator and the owner of AAA Pest Exterminators Inc. He has been serving customers through out the Willamette Valley in Oregon since 1997. Dawn is a licensed pharmacy technician and left this line of work 3 years ago to dedicate her time to the company as the Office Administrator.
“Edwin and I met at local night club on September 26, 1998. The following is our save the date announcement:
Our Love Story
Little did we know that while standing around the dance floor at a local night club one Saturday night in September of 1998, in Salem, Oregon, that our lives were about to change. It all began when Edwin asked if I would like to dance and from that very moment something beautiful began. Together we grew a successful business, build a beautiful home, and raise a blended family with three wonderful children. Then on our 15th anniversary of that night, before God, family, and friends shared the love and commitment that we have had since that very first dance so many years ago.
Edwin and I were both going through divorces when we met and began to talk and found we had a lot of similarities in our lives. I had 2 children (son CJ) and (daughter Natasha) and Edwin had 1 child (daughter Nicole). We blended our family just as his daughter was entering her teenage years and my daughter was just a couple years behind her. We had our challenges but together we made it and are extremely proud of our children,” Dawn recalled.
“The most memorable thing for me was standing after I did my processional with my brother and was waiting to walk with my mother and saw the love in Edwin’s eyes as he tried to hold back the tears. The most memorable thing for Edwin was seeing me walk down the stairs,” said Dawn.
“We chose the Wyndham as our venue as we are owners at this property and found this to be a very intimate place to hold our wedding and reception and provided a very elegant but relaxed atmosphere for us and our guests,” said Dawn and Edwin.
“We met Memory Lane Video at a Bridal Show. We wanted someone local and we wanted something outside of the traditional recorded wedding videos we really didn’t look elsewhere as I had decided that regardless of what we would do that day I would have video. Edwin wasn’t sold at all on the idea but couldn’t hardly object because after all, I was his bride and I had waited 15 years so he agreed to make me happy. Let me repeat Edwin WAS NOT sold on this and was extremely unhappy that I had been so adamant about hiring a videographer. On the day of our wedding, the Memory Lane staff was very relaxed, professional, and friendly and we didn’t even realize they were around,” Dawn recalled.
“My advice for future couples is to work together on the things that make your wedding your day. Such as music, vows and all the details of your ceremony as this is your one shot to get it right. No wedding is going to be perfect but in the end it will be your day and it will turn out exactly as it is meant to be,” explained Dawn.
“We honeymooned for 2 weeks in San Juan Puerto Rico where Edwin is from and his parents still reside. We would like to have gone elsewhere but with his parents being up in their later years, we always make going to see them a priority every year and we realize that when we give our last hugs and kisses, it could very well be the last time we do,” said Dawn.
“We are so grateful for all 75 guests who traveled from Oregon, Arizona, California and Oklahoma to be with us for our day. Having our family and friends with us made our wedding day a day to truly remember.
