Westin Lake Las Vegas – Candice + Aries – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Aries works in the fine dining restaurant industry while Candice is a surgical assistant for an oral & maxillofacial surgeon.

The way this love couple met was through mutual acquaintances while Candice was in college at College of Southern Nevada during 2002. Initially they started out as friends, but as the years passed, they became the best of friends. That beautiful friendship then expanded to something bigger: eternal love.

Their first official date was on Halloween of 2006. It was a nice dinner at a local Japanese restaurant which followed a marathon of scary movies in the living room. The date also involved handing out candy to young trick-or-treaters. How fun!

Candice excitedly explains that “The most memorable thing from our wedding day was seeing each other during the ceremony. Aries wanted to stick with tradition by waiting until the ceremony to see me as his bride. It was very emotional. We were both filled with overwhelming happiness that a few tears of joy were shed upon seeing each other for the first time as bride and groom. One other memorable moment from the wedding was our bridal party dance! That was just pure energy through the roof and everybody really enjoyed it!”

When asked about the couple’s top three favorite details from their wedding, they chose the lighting, floral arrangements, and of course the music playlist! The married couple describes “The beautiful blush pink lighting provided by LED Unplugged that lit up our reception. Lighting just set the romantic mood for that evening and it definitely added a ‘wow” factor to the ballroom. The floral arrangements “took our vision of simple, elegant, and romantic and turned it into reality!” eagerly said Candice. She also added “we made it a priority to choose songs that would be a soundtrack to our love and our lives. Harry O Productions was awesome with putting our soundtrack together for our special day.”

Finding a wedding reception location can be stressful! The couple’s key factors that helped them decide the venue for their wedding reception were “the fact that the Westin Lake Las Vegas can accommodate ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception on property. We liked the idea of having the wedding on one property and not needing to have our guest move form one location to another. Also, theWestin Lake Las Vegas is just so beautiful! It screams timeless and romantic. We got the perfect lakeside backdrop for our ceremony and cocktail hour as well as the elegance of the Baraka Ballroom for our reception.”

The couple were extremely happy sharing their thoughts towards the vendors they decided to book for their special day. Aries and Candice explained that they “were honestly happy to have chosen all of the vendors on our vendor team. What a great team we had on board! Angelica, our wedding coordinator with Green Orchid Events was simply amazing! We couldn’t imagine planning the wedding without her!Memory Lane Video and Adam Trujillo Photography were a blast to work with. We felt at ease with them the whole time. Our cake from Peridot Sweets was gorgeous, Reverend Jimmy Mac delivered a beautiful ceremony, Shutter Booth was a lot of fun… goodness! The list goes on and on!”

Candice had a few sweet words about Memory Lane Video. When asked how she found out about the team, she answered “I found out about Memory Lane Video through research on the internet long before Aries proposed to me. I was already a huge follower of their outstanding work.”

“Now that the wedding has commenced, we learned that all the stress, tasks, and sleepless nights leading up to the event were totally worth it! Our wedding turned out to be everything we hoped for and even more. We were set on doing things the way we envisioned it. We can’t put a price tag on these memories that we will forever cherish. The things we thought were the most important for our wedding are definitely those memories that we will be able to look back on time and time again. We wish we didn’t stress out about the guest list so much either. Lastly, Candice and Aries will be honeymooning in the Spring of 2015. A destination is yet to be chosen, but they are targeting a Caribbean honeymoon. How beautiful! Lots of beach, sand, fine dining, and relaxation is what they are looking forward to.
