Interestingly in our own case, there really wasn’t a formal proposal per say. We were in a somewhat unique situation when we decided to get married; we’d already been together for about 4 years and the idea of getting officially married just suddenly came into our minds one day while eating in a McDonalds restaurant inside a neighborhood Wal-Mart. We decided to get married on September 10, 2016 because September is a beautiful month and time to get married, especially here in Las Vegas; the temperature is just starting to cool from the scorching summer heat, yet still warm enough for an outdoor reception, which was what we wanted.
We definitely think that our money was well spent when we hired our wedding planner, Javier Valentino, who was a lifesaver for us. We didn’t realize that so much planning and organizing, not to mention financial stress, can go into making a wedding, more so in making it a truly successful and memorable one. It’s a once in a lifetime event, and so we wanted to do whatever it takes to make it our happiest moment together and to create a lasting memory of that one special moment when, with God’s blessing, we were finally joined together as one. We wanted a place that had a different atmosphere from a typical Vegas resort, one that makes you feel you are in a far away land, in a secluded and beautiful environment surrounded by lakes and trees, yet still near and large enough to accommodate all our guests and family.
I must also admit that our money was well spent when we chose Memory Lane and photographer Adam Trujillo to capture all the precious moments of the event on film and video; we know that moments like these are too precious to forget, and they deserve to be preserved using the best creative methods by the most experienced and dedicated professionals in the field. We basically did not need to consider other companies, mainly because we were already confident and impressed by the services offered from Memory Lane.
On the day of the event, what we most admire most about Memory Lane Video is the hard work and friendliness of all the staff that were there while making the video and pictures, and their creativity and ideas while shooting film in various sceneries around the venue. Video is important because it captures those once-in-a-lifetime precious moments in a way that we can experience and relive over and over again for the rest of our lives, and to allow us to preserve and pass them on to others, who will eventually be able to see, hear and understand those same exact moments that once upon a time had made us laugh out loud, brought us to tears, touched our hearts, and moved our souls.
