DragonRidge Country Club – Beth + Alexander – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers
Beth is a marketing and public relations manager at retail technology company and Alex operates his own construction and renovations company.
Alex and Beth met online within a week of signing up. He was her first and only date she went on. For their first date, they met up for drinks at a restaurant and later went on to play pool where he “let” her win a game and they shared their first kiss.
“The most memorable part about our wedding day was exchanging our vows. We were both really nervous but felt it was important to pour our hearts out to each other and that emotion made it incredibly meaningful,” recalled the couple.
“The top 3 details of our wedding that were my favorite were 1, my dress and Alex’s suit. He’s never looked more handsome and I was so excited to wear my dress. 2, our venue DragonRidge. Looking out at the lights of Vegas in the distance was beautiful. 3, our escort cards from CompanyFortyTwo on Esty. They were beautiful, blush, handmade flowers from wood,” Beth explained.
“If I could offer one piece of advice for couples planning their wedding it would be, the more organized you are, the easier it is to deal with hiccups in your plans as they pop up. I started a wedding folder on Google Drive that I updated as I went along. It helps you stay on track and not get stressed out over little details,” said Beth.
“Since this was a destination wedding and we booked without physically checking out various venues, this was a tough process. When we contacted DragonRidge, their wedding coordinator, Nicole, was so helpful and comforting. She took the time the walk us through the venue using her iPad so we could get a feel for the place that pictures just aren’t able to provide. On top of that, we wanted a venue that was away from the busy lights of Vegas but still provided a setting that our guests knew we weren’t just on any golf course in any town. We could see the lights of Vegas from a distance but still had the beauty of being outside the city with the mountains on the other side,” the couple explained.
“The other vendors we were glad we chose for our day were, DJ Harry O – everyone loved him! Enchanted Florists, Amelia C. & Co., Jovani Linens, Aria Resort & Casino (where we stayed) and Platinum LV Transportation,” said Beth and Alex.
“We heard about Memory Lane Video through DragonRidge as they are a preferred vendor. We had also searched online and Memory Lane Video consistently came up and had great reviews from past couples,” the couple recalled.
“Now that the wedding has commenced, we wish we could do it again! Not that there is anything we would change but because we loved the day so much we want to relive it again! We learnt it’s true what most people say – the little decor things that we fussed over were nice but didn’t really matter in the end. What was important was that we had all our friends and family there and had an incredible experience that we’ll remember forever,” explained Beth and Alex.
“Advice I’d give to future couples is to have fun planning your wedding. For me, this meant staying organized. I’m a spreadsheet, color-coding machine! Decide what’s important to the both of you and spend the most of your money on those things,” Beth said.
“We chose Memory Lane Video because they came highly recommended to us. We did our research, watched a lot of the videos we saw of theirs and really liked their professional and cinematic look,”said the couple.
“On the day of our wedding, we most admired that Memory Lane Video was extremely efficient and professional. As great as the guys were, we appreciated that they blended into the background and we hardly noticed they were there when everything was going on,” Beth and Alex recalled.
“We believe investing in a wedding video is important for couples because the day really does become a blur. We’re so excited to be able to look back at our day and see it from a third-party perspective. We’re also very excited to show the video to our friends and family who were not able to be there on our big day,” said the couple.
Beth and Alex went on a “mini-moon” to San Diego right after the wedding but are planning to go on a Caribbean holiday in the winter. They’ve just been enjoying their break from doing any more planning.
