Emerald at QueensRidge – Brooke + Christopher – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Christopher is the Hotel Manager at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and Brooke works in the VIP Services department of The Cosmopolitan Hotel Las Vegas. They met while working together at the Stratosphere in 2009. Their first date was actually a group date to a bowling alley during football season. This is when Brooke realized Christopher’s love for his team, the New Orleans Saints. It was an instant connection and the night was full of laughter. They continued to see each other for every game that season.

The most memorable thing that we will never forget from our wedding was when we announced to all of our friends and family our pregnancy. We were 3 months along by the time the big day arrived. We wanted to share our excitement with all the people we loved while in the same room. We made it into a game where we put up 4 pictures of us and had our guests figure it out. The room exploded with tears and shouts of “they’re pregnant!” It truly was a special moment. The moment that the two of us can’t stop thinking about is when we saw each other for the first time at the isle. It was as if no one else existed,” recalled Brooke and Chris.

Our 3 favorite details from the wedding were 1) the staff. Everyone was helpful and genuine. No one missed a beat. We had a few hiccups and they stayed on top of their game and made everything run smoothly. 2) Emerald at Queensridge, the venue itself was flawless. Everything was beautiful and well maintained. 3) The food. It was delicious! We had a family style dinner that everyone raved about. They even brought our dishes to the sweetheart table with a little of everything which we actually made time to eat,” said the couple.

If we could offer one piece of advice to other couples planning their wedding it would be, know that something might go wrong. Things won’t be exactly as you planned. We had 23 people show that did not RSVP and had to add 4 additional tables and make extra food before everyone could be served. But we learned you can’t stress over anything, at the end of the day, everyone is there to celebrate life, love and happiness with you. Nothing can be perfect but it can always be a great party! Remember why you are all there and if something goes wrong, have a drink, hug a friend and dance,” Brooke and Chris explained.

Some key factors that helped us choose our wedding venue were everything being in the same location; the ceremony, reception and vendors. The ceremony site was gorgeous with its isle between planters of ivy and trees covered in twinkle lights that lead to a water feature before ending under a pretty gazebo. We only added two floral arrangements which we didn’t even need because it was already so amazing. The reception room was humongous! The walls were draped in white chiffon and up lit lighting that created a beautiful atmosphere during dinner and party atmosphere afterward. We didn’t have to bring in any outside vendors except Memory Lane Video which we just had to have, obviously,” said the couple.

I found out about Memory Lane Video – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers, through a friend on Facebook. She had recently been married and used them. I went to the internet and watched videos for hours. Each one was beautiful and unique to each couple. It was put together artfully. I made Christopher watch random couple’s weddings with me and once I saw he was impressed as well I knew we just could not have our wedding without using Memory Lane Video,” Brooke recalled.

Now that the wedding has commenced, we learned how amazing our families are. Everyone blended flawlessly. We had so much love and support from both sides. We never had to worry about a single thing because our guests made our evening perfect. Looking back, we did pretty well on our stress factor scale. We were pretty laid back and went with the flow of the evening. We only worried that our guest didn’t have enough time to dance. But after speaking to people after the wedding we had no need to worry. Everyone had a great time,” recalled the couple.

“Some advice we can provide future couples planning their wedding is remember why you are celebrating. At the end of the day you are marrying your other half. Have fun and go with the flow. Planning should be fun not stressful, details will change, guest lists will grow, and flowers will wilt. We promise you the thing you will remember most is that first kiss as husband and wife, the sound of cheers from your friends and family, the loving words from the toasts, dancing with your parents and celebrating the love and happiness that surrounds you. That is what’s important,” Brooke and Chris explained.

We chose Memory Lane Video as our videographers simply because they have the ability to artfully capture the beauty of our evening and all that was important to us. They were extremely professional but welcoming and friendly. We were comfortable with them as if we had known them forever. They were with us for every special moment. We knew if we had to have anything it was Memory Lane Video. We never even looked at any other companies. It was important to capture the love and beauty of the night as opposed to just a recording of the event. That’s the difference Memory Lane Video brings. Now we will be able to look back at our wedding night and experience the magic all over again,” said the couple.

Our honeymoon plans were to stay at an all-inclusive resort in the Bahamas but that had to be placed on hold because of the pregnancy. We decided it was best to postpone our honeymoon until our one year anniversary. After playing tourists in Las Vegas, seeing shows and fancy dinners, we still took a mini get away to California just to have alone time together for a week,” Brooke and Chris said.
