Emerald at QueensRidge – Shameka + Kenyatta – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers
Shameka is the Sr. Credit Analyst at Sysco Desert Meats & Provisions, and Kenyatta is a juvenile probation officer at the Department of Juvenile Justice Services.
The couple met at TGI Friday’s at Sams Town Hotel & Casino. Although it wasn’t love at first sight, there was something different and genuine there. The conversation was easy, and natural. Instead of crazy bar lines, they actually got to know each other, and that night, Shameka met not only her soul mate, but her best friend.
The most memorable thing about the wedding for Kenyatta was Shameka walking down the aisle. It took everything in him not to smile. (He was going for that strong, stoic, silent type cast) From her hair, to her dress, to her smile, she was perfection. He knew it was real, he was marrying the love of his life. For Shameka it was the sound of Kenyatta’s voice saying his vows. All day she had been cool, calm, and collected, until the moment she heard the man of her dreams vowing to love and cherish her, and only her for the rest of his life. At that moment, her tears started to flow, time stood still, and no one else existed but the two of them.
We looked at many locations and selected Emerald at Queensridge because it had everything we wanted. Kenyatta actually booked the venue before I ever saw it. He knows me, what I like, and what I don’t like. I hate the outdoors, so finding a nice location that didn’t cause us, or our guests to walk through grass was a must. We also didn’t want our guests to be crammed into a small space. Emerald was the one. Not only was the reception room spacious, so was the bridal suite. We want to look back 50 years from now, and see a beautiful background in our pictures, and Emerald nailed it. What sold Kenyatta, was the fact that they also had a place for him, and his groomsmen to dress. Not to mention the PS3. :-)Done deal.
In search of wedding venues, Shameka came across a video Memory Lane filmed at the Green Valley Ranch, and was sold. Watching the video of the bride walking down the stairs, the couple kissing, and dancing the night, while a Beyonce ballad played in the background, brought her to tears. If Memory Lane brought that emotion to her, after watching a stranger’s video, she knew allowing them to capture hers would be memorable.
While Shameka was sold after viewing the Green Valley Ranch video, Kenyatta was a little skeptical, until the couple met up with Memory Lane Video, and viewed some of their previous work. The video of the military couple escaping the plane crash, running through the desert, and hiding out in a drain, was simply amazing! The craftsman ship, and detail put into each video made him a believer. “We still talk about it to this day, There was never another choice in videographers! Memory Lane is the best, and that’s what we wanted.”
“We most admired Memory Lane’s dedication to their product. They wanted to make sure they got enough footage to ensure they deliver a great product. Even though we already wanted a video of our wedding, realizing how fast the day goes by, makes it a necessity. There were so many things that happened that we missed, or don’t remember, that only video can capture. Looking back, we will be able to relive April 12, 2013 whenever we want. Picture are great, but to hear the laughter, witness the hugs, and relive the cheers is priceless.”
The couple plans to take thier honeymoon in the Bahamas, in August! It will be the first time for them! The wedding was around Kenyatta’s birthday, and the honeymoon will be around Shameka’s; A TRUE Match made in heaven!
