Havana Room – Frannie + Marlowe – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers

Marlowe and Frannie first met during their freshman year in high school. They had most of their classes together since they were both in the High Honors Program along with being in the same clubs and going to the same church. Since they saw each other almost every day, it was destined that they would become friends. And after being shy and awkward around each other, they fell in love.

Their first date was at their school’s Sadie Hawkins dance in February of 2002. A few weeks leading up to the dance, Marlowe’s older brother suggested that Frannie ask Marlowe to the dance. It took a little persuasion in order for Frannie to ask Marlowe to the dance but in the end she did in the form of a letter and gave it to him during their lunch period. He said yes to her and the night of the Sadies dance was the day that they fell in love with each other. From high school sweethearts to becoming engaged, Marlowe and Frannie described their 14 year long love as beginning as puppy love to becoming unconditional love.

On the morning of March 5, 2014, Marlowe took Frannie to the edge of Las Vegas for a hot air balloon ride just before sunrise. Marlowe planned to propose to Frannie during the hot air balloon ride, but Frannie’s body had a different plan and she became nauseated. Therefore, Marlowe had to think up a plan B on the spot. Once the ride was over, Marlowe took Frannie to a park where they had numerous picnics during high school and college. After a short walk, they stopped under a large tree and Marlowe got down on one knee and popped the question to Frannie. Frannie said “Yes!” and later that night, the newly engaged couple enjoyed a dinner with their families to celebrate their engagement.

The two decided to be married on October 10th because it is a very special day for the two. After separating during college, it was October 10, 2010 (10/10/10!) when they got back together and made their relationship official. In the year of 2015, they saw that October 10th landed on a Saturday and they knew that it was meant to be.

The couple had a hard time picking a venue at first because in Las Vegas, there a hundreds of venues to choose from and the prices vary on the venue. After narrowing down the options, they decided to take a look at the Havana Room at the Tropicana Hotel and were absolutely blown away by what they saw. The layout was “breathtaking” with a large crystal chandelier over the dance floor making the room feel sleek and modern but at the same time classy and elegant. It was “love at first sight” for both of them. The venue created a festive atmosphere for the guest allowing everyone to dance, drink, and have a good time.

The most memorable event Marlowe experienced was watching Frannie walk down the aisle. Frannie did not tell Marlowe any details about her dress and that made her more beautiful than her imagined. He became overwhelmed at her beauty and started to cry. He could not believe that he was going to be married to his best friend, soul mate, and the love of his life.  For Frannie, her most memorable moment was after the ceremony when the priest Father Richard announced them husband and wife and they kissed as all their family and friends cheered for them. Frannie described it as a “happy moment” that was “full of joy”. She held Marlowe’s hand and had everyone they love surround them. It could not have been “more perfect” moment.

The most expensive part of the wedding Frannie believes that they spent the most on was hiring their DJ, DJ Harry O. The DJ set the mood and got the “party going”. It was important to the couple to find the right DJ who could read the mood and play the perfect music. They found that in DJ Harry O and his expertise, and that made hiring DJ Harry money well spent. For Marlowe, he believes that they spent the most on the open bar and making sure everyone had a great time. It has always been Marlowe and Frannie’s goal to create the atmosphere where everyone is having fun and they accomplished that goal with their wedding and the money they spent for everyone to have an amazing night.

Marlowe and Frannie found Memory Lane Video through the website ‘weddingwire’. They read other clients reviews and were extremely pleased when watching the videos. The couple said that the reason they booked with Memory Lane was because of Memory Lane’s videos and blogs. The loved everything about the videos, from the video’s aesthetic to the music and details.

On the day of the wedding, they were “blown away” by how fun and professional the Memory Lane videographers were. Even when the couples were shy in front of the camera, the videographers were patient and helped them loosen up. For future couples that want their wedding filmed, Frannie wants to tell them that you will be able to relive the moment every time you watch your custom made video and that every couple should be willing to invest in Memory Lane Video because “their work is the best that we have ever seen”.

Aside from Memory Lane Video, they were the most please with hiring DJ Harry O and working with Sin City Beauty. Frannie compliments Sin City Beauty’s Leila and her team on their amazing job on Frannie’s and her bridesmaids’ makeup. Frannie felt “so beautiful and confident”.

In the future, Marlowe and Frannie are not quite sure what they will be doing since Marlowe is a dentist in the U.S. Army in Texas. However, they hope that one day they may have children (and more dogs) while living in Texas. And after that, they hope that Marlowe will be stationed abroad and Frannie will finally be able to live in Europe (hopefully in Italy)!
