Hills Estate, Napa Valley – Katie + Dan – Napa Valley Wedding Videographers

Katie and Dan met while they were both on vacation in Las Vegas in 2012.  Over four years ago, Katie vacationed here for an all girls weekend, and Dan was here celebrating a friend’s birthday.  Tao Night Club inside the Venetian Hotel was where the two first locked glances.  The conversation that night led to a slow evolving love story.  Although, sparks didn’t fly right away that weekend, Katie & Dan did keep in touch and saw each other about 6 weeks post Vegas –  where they spent a long weekend in Philadelphia touring the city, museums, and some fabulous restaurants.  Dan knew Katie was the one for him and shared with us how he proposed to her.  Dan took Katie to one of his favorite French restaurants because he knew that Katie had studied French in high school.   Dan had the server bring to them a chocolate dessert saying, “will you marry me?” in French.  Dan assumed Katie would know what the dessert read; much to his dismay, Katie didn’t recall most of what she had learned in French class.  She thought it may have read, “Happy Birthday” – at that moment Dan seized the opportunity to propose to Katie.  French or no French, their love story had officially begun.  Katie & Dan both envisioned a perfect wedding because they would be marrying each other, the perfect pair.  We love their Love Story.

Katie and Dan chose Napa Valley, California as their wedding destination.  The reason they decided to have a destination wedding in Napa was not only because of their love & desire for wine, but they also shared many amazing trips together and with friends to the vineyards in Napa Valley. The couple also wanted to share this special place with everyone near and dear to them. After viewing a handful of wedding venues, they were left feeling underwhelmed as none really seemed to have everything that the couple desired.  The couples wish list included a venue that was not only beautiful and functional, but one that captured everything that they loved about Napa – wine and vines! The Hills Estate encapsulated all of the elements and much more.  Dan was especially happy in the fact that the couple could provide any flavor of wine that they wanted!   The couple were surrounded by their family & friends,  breathtaking panoramic views, a magnificent outdoor setting, rolling vineyards, wine country and nature’s beautiful handy work.

The wedding day for Katie & Dan is a blur, as it is for most couples.  However, the couple did love everything from the venue, food, entertainment, décor, all the people that worked to make it special, and of course all of their family and friends.  In fact the moment that was most pronounced to the couple was their first look. “I think we were both blown away at how we each looked and overwhelmed with the reality that this was really happening,” recalled Katie.

Details were of importance to Katie.  The team of professionals really is the thread that binds the wedding together.  Katie & Dan chose the best.   Their Photographer, Arrowood Photography, provided the couple with cherished images of their wedding day.  Julie Stevens Design was the florist that created beautiful centerpieces and decor for both the ceremony & reception.  Although Katie needs no help looking absolutely gorgeous, Wedding Belles Hair & Make up brought to light Katie natural beauty with their impeccable talent.  Crisp Bake Shop baked a delectable wedding cake for the affair.  Brian Wachhorst of Eric Symons Presents serenaded the bridal party ceremony with his soothing voice, and GrapeVine Music had the wedding guests on their feet at the reception.  All of this was orchestrated pristinely by the wonderful and talented Napa Valley Custom Events (Sharon Burns).  Sharon of NVCE made the whole planning process a breeze.  Katie share her affection for Sharon and offered this testimonial, “Whether she was providing us with a list of recommended vendors for us to choose from, or communicating and coordinating with all of the various vendors for the day of our wedding, no detail was left to chance. And if anything went wrong, we didn’t even hear about it or notice it.  Sharon took our vision and made it into something exquisite.”  BRAVO!  And, yours’ truly, Memory Lane Video, Las Vegas Wedding Videographers, captured all of the memorable and beautiful moments.  We were honored to be a part of this beautiful Napa Wedding.

Memory Lane Video was referred to Katie by her good friend in Las Vegas who, at the time, was enrolled in a wedding planning course.  Katie confessed that once she reviewed our web site she was hooked, and it wasn’t long before she pursued our services.

Katie’s Personal Testimonial:After watching a few of your videos online, we really loved the style of the videos Memory Lane produced.  And then once I started working with Ricky and went back and forth with a few questions, clarifications, and requests, I knew they were the videographers for us!  Everyone on Memory Lane Video’s team were not only professional and respectful, but also seemed to be having fun right along with us!  They did a great job adjusting to new surroundings, and were also very discrete while filming.  We absolutely love how our wedding pictures turned out, and we’re so grateful for the memories that were captured, but having a videographer there captured all of those moments and so much more.  The video also allows us to experience other parts of our wedding that we may not have been right there for.  The video allows us to go back and re-live one of the best days of our lives over and over again!  Everyone on the Memory Lane team was easy going, and completely focused on us.  They knew what they were doing, and took charge to get their job done. “

Thank-you Katie & Dan for such sharing such a beautiful and special day with us.  We wish you a life of Joy, Love & Happiness.  xo
