“Eric took me to dinner at my favorite restaurant, Flemings, 2 weeks after my birthday. He had the waiter bring out a cake that read, “Will you marry me?”, I did not have my glasses on so I thought the cake was for my birthday… I looked over and Eric was on one knee. I then realized what was actually happening! The cake was my favorite color and even had a lotus flower on it, which is my favorite flower! I said YES!

There are so many venues across the valley that a couple can choose from so we asked the couple why they picked the one that they did. They answered, “We both wanted an outdoor wedding and the JW Marriott is so beautifully decorated and offered a nice price for hotel rooms for our guests! We both loved the warm, old-world feel of the Parian Room. We wanted our wedding reception to be chic with an old-world feel. The Parian room was just that!”

Weddings can be extremely costly so we asked the couple what they felt was money well spent for their special day. They said, “We really wanted our guests to enjoy themselves and have a one of a kind dinner… My dad spent a good portion of our money on the vast array of food that we served. We loved that our guests had multiple delicious meals to choose from. Eric works in the event industry and wanted our wedding to have beautiful décor. He is happy that he was able to personally make our wedding arch from scratch!”

Multiple vendors work together at a wedding to make everything exceed expectations but we wanted to know which vendor the couple loved the absolute most! They stated, “Eric and I fell in love with the musician Glenn Nowak over a year ago. Eric mentioned that he would be perfect for our wedding so Eric took his card and after he proposed we called Glenn to book him. His music is romantic, soft and just what we wanted for our romantic day.”

When asked to share some advice for other couples in regards to deciding whether or not they should book a videographer they answered, “To be honest, Eric and I did not want a video made for our wedding. It was not our first priority but my mother insisted on a video. The day following our wedding, we both agreed it was a great idea because the day goes by in a blur and the video will be a nice way for us to see all parts of it. We are so glad that we did the video now!”
