DragonRidge Country Club – Nina + Phil – Las Vegas Wedding Videographers
Phil is a phlebotomist at a hospital and Nina is an occupational therapist who works with children with special needs. The couple are currently living in the Bay Area, California. They met in Las Vegas in October of 2008 for their mutual friend’s birthday celebration. At the time, Nina was living in Las Vegas, NV and Phil resided in the Bay Area. From the first weekend that the two met, both knew that what they had found something special and worked very hard to make a long distance relationship work. On their first date Nina & Phil had dinner at a romantic Cuban restaurant in Las Vegas and then went to a club with a beautiful rooftop view called the Voodoo Lounge at the Rio hotel. The couple both felt that the most memorable thing each remembered from their wedding day was the moment they each saw each other at the ceremony. “We both have been dreaming of that special moment and were extremely happy that our loved ones were there to witness such a beautiful event. Meeting each other at the end of the aisle was the beginning to a gorgeous ceremony lead by Pastor Jeff Long. This was the one moment we still can’t stop thinking about.”
The 3 details from our wedding that we felt were our favorite were: 1) The presence of our wonderful families, wedding entourage and guests: We felt so much love and support from everyone who was in the wedding, attended the wedding, and those we have lost but whom we felt were still with us in spirit. 2) Our wedding planner Arlene Barba from Semper Fi Events. She truly helped make all of our dreams for the wedding come to life. She not only has such an amazing gift for making every little detail come together, she also has a tremendous heart. Her caring nature helped us feel comfortable from the first day of wedding planning. She listened to our ideas and helped make the details of who we are as a couple really shine throughout the wedding. She was such a major part of our wedding journey and we consider her our family. We will be forever grateful to have met such a remarkable person. 3) Our wedding vendors. We had such fantastic people working with us to make our wedding absolutely beautiful. Enchanted Florist provided us with a breathtaking backdrop for our ceremony and reception and made gorgeous flower arrangements. Jovani Linens & Event Design did our beautiful linens and draping for the reception. The crew of Semper Fi events helped make the day run so smoothly. Millie and Nikki at DragonRidge Country Club were tremendously helpful and accommodating. Sound Fusion Entertainment provided a wonderful MC and DJ Steffon helped fill the entire day with music that was meaningful to us. Cold Stone came to provide guests with a special dessert. Lori White did a beautiful job with the bride’s makeup and Antonette Gabriel and her assistant Rizza did all of the bridesmaids beautiful makeup. Adam Frazier’s Photography was amazing and not only did we feel incredibly comfortable working with him, but he also captured such precious moments of the day in such a beautiful way. Last, but not least, we are also so extremely thankful that we had Memory Lane as our videographers and can’t wait to relive our wonderful day through their hard work.
If we could offer one piece of advice for other couples planning their wedding, it would be to try to find people such as our amazing wedding planner to help guide them toward finding talented and caring vendors to work with.
The key factors that helped us choose the venue for our wedding reception included the beautiful view of the strip, the professionalism and courteous nature of the wedding site coordinator, Millie Santos-Adams and her staff, the elegant look of the ballroom and the great reviews we heard about the food and service, both of which were above and beyond what we were expecting. We heard about Memory Lane from our wedding planner Arlene and were blown away by them when we saw some of their samples at a Bridal Spectacular in Las Vegas. Now that the wedding has commenced we have learned that remembering what the day is all about is truly the number one inspiration behind everything we had planned. Our wedding was about our love for one another, and about celebrating the beginning of such an important chapter in our lives. It meant so much to us that we were able to incorporate things, both big and small, that resembled us as a couple. The theme of our wedding was “Live, Laugh, Love”, which to us, is the summary of our relationship and the way we strive to live each day.
Looking back, the things that were not worth the stress include being scared of not making the right choice about everything. There are so many decisions to be made, but looking back at moments of being uncertain about what to do, we realize that we made these decisions together and trusted in ourselves to do what we felt would make us happy as well as our guests. We ended up with a fantastic wedding and felt that everything turned out how it was meant to be. Some advice we can provide for future couples on planning their wedding is to try to have fun with the process. Every part of the planning experience is worth seeing everything come together on the day of the wedding.
We wanted to book Memory Lane, because we heard they were amazing and when we saw what they can do, we were confident that they would make our wedding video look spectacular. When we met them, we were impressed with how professional, talented and personable they were. Once we met Memory Lane we felt that we did not have to look at any other video company and were confident in our decision. On the day of the event we most admired how diligently they worked. We also enjoyed talking to the interviewers that made us feel very comfortable. If we were to describe the necessity of video to future clients, we would say that video is important because it will help relive the special moments of the day. The wedding day goes by so fast and video is a great way of bringing back all of the feelings of the special moments that we would love to see again and again. As the busy bride and groom, it was difficult to see everything that was happening at once so video might help us capture special moments between family members and friends that we might have missed. We think that couples should book Memory Lane Video’s services because the members of the crew are extremely talented and watching one of their wedding videos is like watching a movie. They capture moments as if you were a part of it and they tell a beautiful story through their work. We spent our honeymoon in the Philippines. We are both Filipino and wanted to experience going there together. We both were attracted to the tropical weather, the delicious food and the chance to explore places in the Philippines where we have never been. It was also Phil’s first time there, as well as a chance for Nina to go back and visit family.
